  1. Lowes has the best prices on appliances in my experience. Home Depot seems to want to keep 'em around as pets. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Hmmm/rolleye.gif
  2. +1, but we've had our Cuisinart for 1.5 years at least... I brew twice a day most days... It's terrific. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Coffee/lotsocoffee.gif Mr. Coffee stops working after 3 months.
  3. TJ Maxx & Marshalls are good places... Ross Stores have 'em to, but ours is always in shambles.

  5. Probably before Christmas 2009 shopping season. Maybe October '09? The folks over at http://www.zunescene.com (in the forum) would be the people to ask.
  6. Glad you liked that one! I saw that one... They get all that stuff in the bag, but is are there invisible birdies helping you carry all that weight? It would be like carrying two bowling balls around all day...
  7. You could be right: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rT1RIxkTAR8
  8. 8GB -- $132.99 shipped: B&H: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&Q=&IC=MIZUNE8B&A=RetrieveSku 4GB -- $89.99 shipped: Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000WG1QRS B&H: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&A=RetrieveSku&IC=MIZUNE4B&Q= I would imagine that 32GB players would come out next...
  9. How about Linens -n- Things? Apparently everything is 40-70% off, including online and their brick-n-mortar stores: http://www.lnt.com Barring that, for online shopping I'd check out Overstock.com. If you want to shop in person, go to Ross, Marshalls, or TJ Maxx.
  10. We got ours at Gamestop. They typically get shipments on Wednesday according to the clerk that was manning the counter at the time...
  11. Many outlet centers have Converse Outlet stores too. I've purchased Converse shoes and clothing there.
  12. TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross.... Between $19.99 and $24.99 a pair. They also have Levi's Jeans sneakers (very similar) for $14.99/pair.
  13. In my experience, there is only one brand to consider for consumer-grade routers: Linksys. Please walk away from any other brands. You'll thank me. :)
  14. I am still every bit as skeptical as I was last year.
  15. My favorite is the $2.99/month charge for detailed billing. Yes, you can check all the individual calls online, but to have to pay $2.99 per month to see it in a printed form...
  16. The IMEI # gives it away... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imei
  17. In the fine print of your contract... They reserve the right to adjust your plan if they figure out which phone you are using...
  18. Many people buy cheap-o GoPhones and move their SIM card over. Or you could buy a phone off ebay.
  19. Work for the right (usually a bigger) company.
  20. PDA phones actually do not require a data plan. Sam's Club/Walmart both sell PDA phones that do not require a data plan. Many folks who text use them for just texting. However, PDA phones are not eligible for the unlimited MediaNet service ($15/month), instead you must have a PDA Internet plan that starts at around $30/month. ----- It will be interesting to see what Wal-Mart does with the iPhone (a data requirement, or not) when they begin selling them in 1st Quarter 2009: http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2008/11/18/iphone-3g-coming-to-wal-mart-on-december-28th-select-sams-clubs-as-well/
  21. Free shipping on order of $100! Coupon Code: FREESHIP Expires: 12/31 Free Upgraded Shipping on 2 or more items! Coupon Code: UPGRADE Expires: 12/20 You can also get a $20 gift card if you sign up for their e-mail newsletters.
  22. The Motorola F3 is readily available in the $30-range. No camera though. Here it is at Newegg.com, brand-new for $31.99 shipped: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16875209145 http://electros.in/files/u2/Motofone_4.jpg This Nokia might be a better bet though: http://my-shop.biz/images/nokia-1208-1.jpg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16875205141 A little more money ($35.99 plus shipping), but has a real screen vs. the two-line calculator-style display on the Motorola F3. Either phone is compatible with T-Mobile or AT&T service.
  23. Woot has a one day deal on a 6.1MP Pentax dSLR for $239.99 + $5 s/h. http://sellout.woot.com/Default.aspx?WootSaleId=7685&ts=1229626958&sig=8898e4a38f304c91 It's a one-day deal though... And no lenses are included... And it's a refurb.
  24. If someone is looking for a lighterweight "bridge camera" ("SLR like"), I can make some recommendations.... I've been researching heavily...
