  2. Announcing our next scheduled Black Friday chat on our Discord: this Sunday, November 10th, at 8pm EST Here's the invite link: https://discord.gg/3hd2K5t If you haven't signed up, you can do so at any time. If possible, use your forum username so we know who everyone is. We'll once again have the chat in the #blackfriday channel. For those who are unfamiliar with Discord, it is a free text, voice and video chat service. You can access it via their apps or through a traditional web browser. Once you sign up for an account you can join the GD server using the special invite link above and can chat with everyone else who has signed up. One advantage of using Discord over the old forum chat function is that you can view past conversation in the channels and not just what is happening while you are there so can come and go without missing anything. We'll discuss the newest ads that have been released, which ads are still to come and yes, we'll have some more giveaways. Hope to see everyone there, and if you can't make it you can always read the chat at a later time.
  3. It's contest time once again... How to enter: Let's say you were given $1,000 to buy anything in any of the posted Black Friday ads. What would you buy? Reply to this thread with the store, item name and price for each item you'd buy. Make sure you don't spend over $1,000 total (but don't worry about including tax) You can view the current ads here: https://blackfriday.gottadeal.com/BlackFridaySaleAds Feel free to use items from any store, including stores which we post ads from between now and the end of the contest. Limit one entry per member. Entries will be accepted until 11:00pm ET on Thursday, November 14th. At that point I'll randomly choose 15 entries and those members will receive BF survival kits. Limit of one survival kit prize per member but if you have already won you are still welcome to enter future contests for fun. For more info on the Black Friday survival kits we're giving away this year (including the bonus mystery prizes inside), see this thread.

  7. Someone at Walmart forgot to hit the button
  8. Separate deals most likely because by the time these start, the online Black Friday sale will already have started for the non-doorbuster BF ad items.

  11. Seems like everyone is using it this year. Amazon replaced their "Countdown to BF" month-long sale with "Happy HoliDeals", I saw QVC using it, now Target today is introducing "HoliDeals". It's not even that clever of a name. Stop
  12. Item listing on the BF site for the Target ad is now complete
  13. Details: https://amzn.to/34FsYL9 Seems to be for new and current Prime members.

  16. As you may remember, Home Depot, Lowe's and several others typically release their Black Friday appliance deals (the same deals that will be in their BF ads) weeks in advance to give you ample time to shop around and purchase without the stress of making such a large purchase during the BF craziness. Tomorrow will be that day, at least for Home Depot and Lowe's, so if you're interested in getting appliances this year, you don't have to wait much longer to see what the deals will be.
  17. Yeah I laughed at that line as well.

  20. https://ir.jcpenney.com/news-events/press-releases/detail/599/jcpenney-inspires-shoppers-to-cherish-the-little-moments After spending quality time with family and friends, customers can make JCPenney their one-stop shop for unbelievable Black Friday deals a day early, as most stores open at 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. When stores open, shoppers will be greeted with a coupon worth $10 off $10 or more, $100 off $100 or more, $500 off $500 or more to be handed out while supplies last. Most stores will remain open through 10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29, and will reopen extra early at 8 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30. Customers who wish to get early access to the retailer’s Black Friday deals can start shopping JCPenney.com and the app beginning at 12 a.m. CT on Wednesday, Nov. 27. Thought the ad might come out along with this press release but I don't see it on their site, yet.
  21. To put things in perspective, today marks 24 days from BF. Last year, on the day that was 24 days from BF (October 30th) we had only seen Harbor Freight, True Value and Costco. So looking at it that way, we're way ahead.
  22. Sound like Stage Stores is shifting most of their various stores (Goodys, Peebles, etc...) into Gordmans with their off-price model.
  23. Still thinking the most likely scenario is: Walmart: Wednesday night around midnight EST Best Buy: Wednesday night around 1am EST Target: Thursday morning around 9am EST I really hope they are a little more spread out than that but based on past years, that seems to be the most likely scenario. And these could be this Wednesday/Thursday or next Wednesday/Thursday because of how late BF is this year.
