Looking like the weekends are the most popular so far. We won't have one this weekend because a lot of areas have Halloween stuff going on Saturday and/or Sunday but the following weekend we'll try having a scheduled chat and hopefully will have some bigger ads to discuss by then.

As I do every year, I looked at the data from the past 4 years including when each store's ad was posted and the date Black Friday fell on each year. Based on these numbers and this year's Black Friday date (November 29th), here is the "average" day you can expect these ads this year: November 6 - Kohl's November 7 - JCPenney November 11 - Target November 11 - Macy's November 12 - Best Buy, Sam's Club November 13 - Walmart November 18 - GameStop November 19 - Lowe's November 21 - Home Depot You can go back through the last 13 years to see the leaked dates for many stores here: https://blackfriday.gottadeal.com/Dates This year Black Friday falls on the latest possible date, the 29th (last year it was on the earliest possible date, the 23rd). This is going to make it especially difficult to accurately predict when the bigger ads will drop this year. For example, if a store has leaked their ad on the 2nd Tuesday of November the last couple years, will that still happen or will they push it to the 3rd Tuesday because of how late BF is this year? Or some day in between? We won't know until it happens.

Maybe that should be a giveaway and/or merch item we sell. I could get a bunch of cheap GD-branded flash drives and load all my personal archives onto them. I still need to scan a bunch of the older ads that we don't have clean copies (or any copies) on the Archive site yet. Long shot, but if anyone has any ads from 2002 or older and would be interested in contributing scans (or the actual ads) to the archive, let me know.

We're thinking of having scheduled chats on our Discord server (so sign up if you haven't!), similar to the chats we used to have when bigjimslade used to do the webcasts. We can chat about the ads, you can ask questions, there will be giveaways, etc... We'll probably have chats right after the big ads hit but we'd also like to schedule some at various times so I'd like to know what days/times work best for the most people. So use the poll questions to send your preferences - you can select multiple days and times. Feel free to also reply to this thread with more comments/preferences/suggestions. We'll try to schedule multiple days/times so everyone in different time zones can participate in at least some of them.

They should be pretty much the exact same size, just a slight change with how the straps are sewn in. These are just for you guys - I have a few left over for myself & family members but I won't be giving any of them away. The first 2 years of this club we would start it after Cyber Monday and you'd have a few days to post in November before the list was frozen on 12/1. With BF so late this year (and Cyber Monday actually in December) I haven't officially decided when the new club will start. Since this 2019 club ends this month, I'm thinking of starting the 2020 club in the first half of November, accepting the fact that with that much time to join the club (and during the busiest time of the year) we may just have a whole bunch of members compared to the first 2 years, at least until the first few months are over and people drop off. I would just choose a prize for 2020 that won't cost me $10 to ship with that many people possibly getting one lol.
