Car CD Player..HELP! Any Suggestions?
Brad replied to SueInCali's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
For a basic unit I'd recommend the Pioneer DEH-P2600: http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Pioneer-In-Dash-CD-Player--DEH-P2600-/sem/rpsm/oid/87378/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do If you want MP3-CD playback, go with the P4600 model for a little more. -
Overstock is going to have a $50 off $350 coupon tomorrow, which is another very good coupon - comes out to just under 15% off if you maximize the savings.

Pricegrabber isn't that helpful for toys and video games because they do not list a lot of the merchants that have them for the cheapest prices, such as Amazon.

none wrapped and none under the tree :)

I play it occasionally. If you like playing poker it can be fun, and you can make a few bucks. They are completely legit as far as paying you, etc... Also, if anyone signs up using one of the codes in the original message, just PM me with your PP username and which code you used and I'll send you $10 extra via PayPal (or a $10 Amazon GC if you don't have a PayPal account). This is in addition to any bonuses you get from PartyPoker itself.

The original posted was spamming with his own referral codes, so we just replaced his codes with GottaDeal-approved codes :)

I've always said that the Club O membership only makes a lot of sense when you are going to buy something obscenely expensive where the 5% discount will make a difference. For most purchases under $400 or so, there are always plenty of Overstock coupons to save you between 7-10% off.
-
From the Club O terms: "Club O Membership benefits do not apply in conjunction with any coupons, including affiliate offered coupons"
-
Usually it won't take both a coupon and the discount, so this may be one of those cases. Although I've seen it work if you clear your cookies, activate the coupon, and then go to the discounted item page that Chris posted and add the item to your cart. No guarantees but I've seen it work in the past. This coupon is good for items that Chris can't offer discounts on or items that you need to order over the weekend and can't wait for Chris to respond to your offer on Monday.

yep. and the forums launched on 6/1/04 IIRC

Good this weekend only: http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=RjWYtCqO0*M&offerid=57189.10001477&type=4&subid=0 Expires 12/6

It was a one-time fluke, lol. It was an open-box model at BestBuy. They were just putting it out. Apparently somebody bought it, realized what it cost for being "just a radio" and returned it without the FM antenna. So I was able to get it for under $50 IIRC. I already had an extra antenna, so it worked perfectly. The radio itself was basically brand new.

I know I've seen a GE CD model at Sam's Club for around $30 as well.

Alot of the models can be found at your local Target/Walmart/BB/CC so you could take a look at them in person before ordering (assuming you can get them cheaper online). I used to have a CD clock radio from RCA that worked well, but now I have a radio-only model, but it's a nice one that I got a very hot deal on.

Here are some options I found with a quick search: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00008UVA9 http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00009ZUDD http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00005AAMR http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=90141983 If you are willing to get a refurbished model, check Overstock.com and request a deal from Chris in the other thread as OS has quite a few name-brand models around your price range.

Take a look at the Canon A400. You can usually get it around $150-160 shipped. Has a 2.2x optical zoom, 3.2MP, SD memory: http://gottadeal.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php?masterid=3800622&blsrt=1

Good point. I need a new desk chair. Everyone "secretly" pitch in and get me a nice Steelcase chair :) You can get Ross the TP

Unfortunately the "Make Your Own Deal" option is not available for media items (books, music, movies & games)

Moved to the Holiday Shopping forum - anyone else who needs gift ideas feel free to start threads in this forum

Has anyone used the $200 internet-programmable remote?
Brad replied to MarkRaby's topic in Offline Hot Deals
Buy it from Amazon for $129.99 shipped - no rebates needed: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000TNZDK RemoteCentral Review: http://www.remotecentral.com/sst659/index.html -
No, it would just mean only having to wash clothes once a month And the number is staying :) If you don't like it, go get 200 more people to come to the forum and we won't have to worry about it anymore, lol.
-
But if we reset it, it'll be like it never happened - but it did! And I was online when it happened. And I need some reason to justify keeping the new server, lol.
-
Yes, we expected a mass exodus after Black Friday as most people were only using us to get their BF fix and then abandoning us, lol. We knew this and still went ahead with the server upgrade as we'll be able to take advantage of it in other areas in the coming months. To be honest, the vast majority of the people on the forum over the past month were not really contributing anyway - most were just lurkers looking for the ads and reading the threads. We think those valuable members who actually took the time to post will be the same ones who still continue to visit the board throughout the rest of the year, and for the others, I guess we'll see them back in about 11 months. To answer some of the other questions, this site and forum are both relatively new. GottaDeal.com itself launched on 1/1/04 as a hot deals site - it was an off-topic forum prior to that, and we waited until 6/1/04 to launch the forum. The off-topic forums were added a few months later. We created this forum because Ross and I have been hardcore deal hunters since the golden days of hot deals back in the late 90s and we know what kind of forum works and what kind of forum we would like to visit. Like all of you, we hope the forum continues on the path it's been on, and we'll do whatever we can to make that happen. Prior to the BF site launch the forum was beginning to really start to take off, so although we don't expect to have 200+ users online at any one time anytime soon like we did on Thursday night, we expect a lot more action than we had before BF and we hope that many of our newcomers will decide to stick around for the same reasons you guys mentioned, and we also hope that those that do stay will spread the word to others. We have some very exciting things planned for both the forum and the main site in the coming months, and we hope that will attract even more new members. Things like the Overstock.com "Make Your Own Deal" thread are what we hope will set us apart and show that we are not just any hot deal forum. So Ross and I will still be here, and I'm sure so will plenty of others :)
