  1. Sounds like these would have been a perfect fit for you. It's really too bad you missed out. I actually posted a deal here on the forum for them over a week ago when they were even cheaper - around $25 shipped. I really don't know of any other model of clip-on headphone/radio like this. You could always wait and keep checking to see if they get more in stock (people might have ordered and then cancelled). Otherwise you'll need to go to a regular pocket radio, something like one of these: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00008W7LS http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00006JQ06 http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000066R6M
  2. Welcome to the forum Mike. This item was in stock when I posted the deal this morning - you must have just missed it As for another radio, do you have a price range? If you are willing to spend $30-40, I'd look at the Sangean line of pocket radios. I believe Amazon.com carries a few of them. If you want something cheaper, let me know and I'll see if I can find something. But like you said, you get what you pay for. I think I saw a Panasonic model at Amazon for $9.99 a week or so ago that got good customer reviews.
  3. http://reviews.cnet.com/Linksys_WMLS11B/4505-6739_7-30671312.html I think the general feeling is that it is an average device. Although the price has dropped significantly since it first came out. If you want something better, look into the Roku Soundbridge. I was able to pick one up (M1000 model) at Best Buy for $149 a few months ago, but it's still sitting in the box cause I haven't had time to play with it yet. http://www.rokulabs.com/products/soundbridge/index.php
  4. If you want/need the remote, then get this one. If you are going to build a Windows MCE 2005 machine, then get the other one and then get a dedicated MCE remote (around $30).
  5. There are some pics of it in a HT setting on Amazon, like this one:http://g-images.amazon.com/images/G/01/ciu/ff/41/4df5a2c008a03052bb5bff00.L.jpg
  6. That's what I have in my HTPC-in-progress. 2 of those and an Fusion HDTV low profile HD tuner in an Antec Minuet case.
  7. From the site: The MCE versions do not come with a remote control or an MPEG video decoder. If you are building Media Center systems, please check with Microsoft for their latest list of compatible remote control and MPEG decoders. But you can still use the MCE versions with Myth, Beyond, Sage, etc...
  8. If you have a Target nearby, check them out. A few weeks ago I saw Imation 32MB drives for $8.00.
  9. The stanard WinTV-PVR150 cards are basically the same as this model - just with one tuner (and FM, IIRC). All WinTV cards: http://hauppauge.com/Pages/prods_pvrs.html Note the differences between the regular and MCE versions. If you are going to use MCE, then stick with the MCE versions, otherwise you might want to go with the "regular" versions since they come with remote and more software.
  10. Of course if you have the slots available, it's a little cheaper to use 2 separate cards (WinMCE2005 supports up to 3), but if you are using a microATX case with limited PCI slots, this is the perfect option.
  11. Keep in mind that the picture is a little misleading - this case is pretty big for a desktop case. Being that it fits full-size ATX motherboards, full height PCI cards, etc... If you want something for an HTPC, look at the Antec Minuet which is for microATX boards and only fits half-height PCI/AGP cards, which could be a deal-breaker for some.
  12. I thought you guys would like it, lol. It was around $102 a few days ago, so it was nice to see it dropped another $5.
  13. Yep, that's how they are supposed to be worn. I had the old MDR-EX70LP versions that came out a few years ago. Great headphones for the money.
  14. Yes, we have applied to be affiliates for all the big travel sites in anticipation of the future "travel deals" board on this forum.
  15. Travelocity.com Beach Vacation Sale: $50 off 3+ night vacation to Mexico, Hawaii or Caribbean. "Grab your boogie board and make sure the little tykes have their inflatable water wings. When you book Flight + Hotel together, you can reach the beach for less. Plus, if you book before April 15, we'll give you an additional $50 off, so you can go ahead and make sandcastles until the sun comes down, dig a hole to China, or just groove to the sounds of the seabirds and waves." Use Promo Code: BEACHNOW
  16. Another possible option: 1) Sign up for Amazon Prime for $79 2) Order the Princeton 19" LCD for $298 AR 3) Pay the $3.99 for next-day air shipping In the end it costs you about $49 more out-of-pocket, but then you have the Amazon prime membership for the rest of the year. So you are basically paying the same as Buy.com for the LCD and getting the Amazon Prime membership at $30 off. Probably not worth it unless you/your client (whoever is going to be ordering) orders a lot from Amazon during the year.
  17. Do they have 2nd day air? Don't know if they guarantee Friday delivery at this time of day though.
  18. http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=6852 Don't know what next-day shipping would be though...
  19. Nope. Newegg does not have an affiliate program of any kind. I think the feeling at Newegg is that they get so much free "advertising" on all the tech forums everywhere that they don't need to pay sites to get people to buy from them. They are the de-facto recommended site for a lot of stuff, so it makes sense for them I guess. Plus if they paid commission they'd probably have to raise their prices. Although we do get a few cents if you go through our Pricegrabber partner site and then click through to Newegg, whether you buy something or not. It's a hassle for people to do that, so we don't really bother mentioning it. If you notice, when I post a Newegg deal on the main site, I usually link to the Pricegrabber listing instead of directly to Newegg.
  20. Yep, I've used the Ritek/Ridata with no problems. Both R and RW formats.
  21. Pretty much the same price when you factor in Newegg's shipping. Newegg - 100 for $31.49 shipped after $12 rebate Amazon - 100 for $31.48 shipped after $16 rebate (max 2 $8 rebates) Of course if you order from Amazon, the out-of-pocket cost is $4 more, but you are helping support the site since we get commission from Amazon (but not Newegg)
