Just got off the phone with my Walmart affiliate rep. He was even more cryptic about things. All he said was that I should be ready to hear something in the next 'day and a half'. I'm still going with my midnight PST tonight prediction though.
In general, yes. But there will be some doorbuster items you can order online. And there will be some non-doorbuster items that you can't order online. And to answer your next question, no we don't know in advance what those items will be
OK, I'll go with my original prediction of just after midnight PST tonight then. They haven't sent anything to us about a Thanksgiving Day sale which they've had the last 5+ years before the BF sale started, so that leads me to believe they are doing the BF sale Thursday and Friday this year.
Has anyone heard if WM is going online tonight or tomorrow night? They've always been a Thursday night store, but the few people at WM I've asked this week have been very cryptic...
Nothing yet. HD is based in EST time zone, so possibly midnight EST tonight. Also, Black Friday Savings! $5 Off $50 Or More! Use code BFHD2012 at checkout. 11/21 - 11/23
The Black Friday VIP Tote Bag offer is now available on www.bathandbodyworks.com http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/product/index.jsp?productId=13130676&cp=4090263
Looks like if you do the customer service "trick", you can view product pages, but not general category pages. So if you want to add more items to your cart (or are starting from an empty cart), you can find some individual items on our BF item listing: http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com/BlackFridaySales/Store/Kohls We also have a lot of category pages that might not load, but the item ones should.
Yes, the page is coded to automatically refresh. Again, if you have multiple browsers on your computer, open up at least one window in each and just let them sit and refresh on their own.
Depends how their system is set up. I'd recommend opening multiple windows in different browsers and keep them open. The page is coded to automatically refresh as needed, so you don't need to do it on your own.
Very interesting that they decided to do the waiting room process. Can't remember another major store doing that for BF in the past. Sites do it for tickets going on sale all the time, but it's a BF first for me.
The source code of the page indicates they are doing a "waiting room" type deal where they are probably letting some people in at a time, but not everyone at once.
That's why I recommended somewhere in the thread to keep windows/tabs open for each product you want just in case your cart gets emptied. I think the carts will remain, but they might clear out the sessions in which case they won't.
