Although Duarte is my least fave store.I'm on the other end of the valley, though I trek out your way for the big sales after I hit my stores. My main stores are the 2 in Pasadena, then Eagle Rock, Glendale, sometimes Alhambra (though not often) and Duarte if I need to go to Walmart, Home Depot or TRU anyway. I sometimes need to go to Diamond Bar, so I'll hit the San Dimas & West Covina stores. I'll even trek on down to Baldwin Park if I am on that way and have time. I scanned a bunch of stuff you guys had mentioned was marked down furhter, but no luck. I don't even think the toys were scanned this week. Oh well! Have fun at the big toy sale if it hits this week. All of the signs at our store say 30 and 50% off, but many are scanning at 75%. My son picked up a bunch of toys for the local women's shelter and he paid $70. Toys still the same, one of my Targets now has a clearence aisle that is half full with boys stuff, they have yet to pull the girls stuff from the regualar shelves, thinking they may do that this week. I was so bummed that there were NO beach towels left...there had to be 20 or more just a day ago. But I got an adorable straw tote for $3.74 and a bunch of plastic dishes for under $.50 each. I saw more toys at 50% off at this store, but they were way behind with their 50% off markdowns, so they probably just evened themselves out with everyone else. Also was excited to see the 10 pack of juice boxes... but they rang up $2.99. UGH!! SO disappointed!! Most toys were only at 30% (really nothing at 50% or 75%!!).... They did have an aisle for the clrance toys. A select few were 75% off. Nothing I was interested in buying though. I am going to go back tomorrow and check the V Motion games (50% off today). I am hoping to get a few at 75% off since I bought a V Motion at the last Target clearance. I would like to get a few games to go with it for whoever I give it to for Christmas. They seem ti be making a clearence aisle in the boys section for the boys stuff & a seperate aisle for the girl clearence toys in the girl section... thats new to me. The seasonal outdoor toys (playwonder slip n slides etc etc ) were still in place. I may pop back this arvo to have alook & see how they have gotton on. Picnic still 75%, they have squished it all together & I wouldnt be suprised to see it on an endcap tomorrow as it really got pick through yesterday. No other changes except that someone bought the 2 desk lamps that I had been keeping an eye on, they were bronze in color & were ment to be $39.99 each & had gone to 50%off but that was still to much for me, I was hoping to get them at 75% off but no luck .. very upsetting as they would have looked great on my desk Keep the updates coming ;) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm still confused about the toy sale. The store is just now clearing out 2 aisles for the toy sale. Hardly any toys are on sale and most are 30%. I guess my store is just wayyyy behind. I didn't pick up any games for the PS3 but they had lots of game for $13.98. A baseketball game, dirt bike game, guitar hero (hits or something like that). Only Wii game was tin pin alley for $13.98. No separation, so I'd guess that is just some local person wanting it that way. I think they are just supposed to move it out of the main aisles. No movement on any of ours. 30-50% off. Once this stuff has arrived at the stores they need to get the seasonal outdoor playstuff gone so they can expand the toy department. Alot of the toy makers bring out special packaging & new items just for Christmas & then advertise them on TV from now till Christmas, they are usually the things that go on clearence after Christmas. Got some of the margarita/mojito mixes & a rimming sugar, one of those tubs that you can put ice & drinks in, and what I think was the best deal-- beach towels for $2.50 each. They are 7ft long! All of this was 75% off The tub, mojito & margarita mixes and sugar, 2 towels, and 2 each- plastic margarita glasses and highball glasses (not on clearance) are going to be a housewarming gift for a friend. Our baby stuff is still on 15% - 30% clearence & there isnt much of that there. The toy departments at my 2 stores here are a MESS!!!! Stuff everywhere, I have completly lost track of all the stuff I have stashed & even stuff that I havent stashed,alot the clearence has been been taken off & isnt anywhere found which is rather scarey.
