LydiaT Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Almost pulled the trigger...got my husband out of bed...read the restrictions...it's for employees ONLY
Cannon1 Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Its on the first line 3/4s of the way down. They authenticate via having an employee email account.
krissy72 Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 I got one from there and I am not an employee. Ordered it about 5 days ago. I has shipped.
Cannon1 Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 (edited) Darn, I'm gonna have to go back to the site and look then. Thanx all. (I hope it's not a TRU/PayPal order confirmed/then :12min later order cancelled scenario). Ok, am back. Real steals? nope. Was intrigued with the 15" for $.01 & $98 s&h though. jade2711 Posted November 29, 2008 Author Posted November 29, 2008 I'm not an emplyee either. My friend ordered hers before I did, hers has already shipped as well.
LaneyGurl Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 I ordered one also and I am not an employee. It already shipped.
toebaby Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 The paper work is missing for the tv. I can look at the pdf, but when I try to search for warranty information, it's not on their list.
89MustangGX Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 I wouldn't count on much for warranty or service -- Philips is getting out of the TV business and the website even says everything is sold "as-is." Adam
Guest JustMeDiana Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I had no problems ordering..... Concerning warranty should not be an issue..... http://www.outlet.philips.com/b2c_redesign/b2c/customersupport.do?supportId=HELP_PRODUCT&shop=OUTLET#warranty

Concerning warranty should not be an issue..... http://www.outlet.philips.com/b2c_redesign/b2c/customersupport.do?supportId=HELP_PRODUCT&shop=OUTLET#warrantyAnd if it is still an issue you can get a warranty at squaretrade....cheap.
davessworks Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 the penny deal is because it won't tune to DTV, only analog, therefore Philips is not allowed to sell these sets - without full disclosure. So they're making the money back on the shipping . . .
slinkster65 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 That 15'' tv though is perfectly fine as long as you have a cable box or box from DirecTV/Dish Net. Just doesn't ahve a built in tuner soyou can't use an antennae with it. I am tempted to get 1 or 2 of those. One for my parent's bedroom and then the other for either the basement or guest room at their house.
notatenanine Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 Only one new TV is left. Bummer. I should have jumped on this but waited to see if dh was ok with it. Now I am in the doghouse for hesitating...no winning. HA!
krissy72 Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 I have a question for anyone who has gotten theirs. When it came did it come in a Philips box or was the Philips box inside another box? I guess what I am asking is, do I have to try to beat my Husband home so I can hide it in order to not ruin the surprise?

emoscrop Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Sorry to be a pain but...to anyone that did buy this TV, did you have to pay sales tax? Thanks

krissy72 Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Ok, so I just fake ordered a tv. It was 179 and free ship and it did charge tax. The one that I really ordered did not charge tax but cost .01 and 149 to ship. That may be the reason.
