MeliesMom Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Cookies and milk here. Usually just chips ahoy but this year we are going to try and attempt homemade cookies. I've made homemade choc chip before but I don't think they tasted that good. I bought some cookie cutters to make shapes too. I guess I will do a trial run before Santa actually comes just to make sure they are perfect for him. lol.

stacyk9 Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 This will be the first year to leave something for Santa since our DS was too young to do it before. We will probably leave him cookies and milk and some carrots for the reindeer.
Tara3117 Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 We used to just leave Chips Ahoy and a juice box. My parents always said that the milk would go bad if we left it out for him, but years later I realized that it's because my mother is lactose-intollerant!!! We never left anything for the reindeers.
johjstc Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Whatever snack my husband is in the mood for that night, usually cookies and milk or hot chocolate.
ourhappyfamily4 Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 most times cookies and milk, last year we left a little debbie brownie, and sweet tea. Then we leave some carrots for the reindeers. I like the idea of tossing oats outside for them, it's cute!
gretchenandharry Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 We leave homemade cookies and egg nog for Santa in a special plate and glass. We also put the oats outside for the reindeer, a 'magic' reindeer mix that we make with glitter.

littlezar Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 cheese but it doesnt work like the commercialROFL!!! We leave homemade cookies (choc. chip, oatmeal raisin or sugar cookies....or a combo of them) and milk. We have a special "cookies for Santa" plate that I bought at Dollar Tree years ago.
shoppingfever Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Okay I am almost (not quite, but almost) embarrassed to admit this- we, being myself (40), dh (39), and ds (15) still leave out cookies, milk, and carrots. We sprinkle the oats outside, too. I still write a letter to Santa every Thanksgiving about how good I have been and how mean my siblings, db (44) and ds (30) have been all year. My parents love it! And I know they still, regardless if any of us are there or not, still leave out milk and cookies.
KrystalMae1231 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 We always bake Jesus a birthday cake.......so Santa always gets that and the WONDERFUL, COLORFUL cookies that we made earlier in the night. (5 children all from 3-7, and 5 bags full of icing....not the prettiest site) but it's fun!! And carrots for the reindeer.
