madiemae06 Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 where can i buy seeds for planting this spring. i have a gurneys catalog but it will cost almost ten dollars for shipping
freesia39 Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 i always saw them at home depot or maybe target?
dmcginty Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 I have seen packs of seeds at Wal-mart & Lowe's.
Sugar&Spice Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 How about your local nursery, a little closer to planting time? I know for a fact that they sell them at my local nursery. They will weigh out the amount you want.
rachealb Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 I use Gurney's sometimes- a catalog- they always have coupons, I think the first catalog you get has $25 worth of free merchanside (you have to pay shipping) and then the later catalogs usually have $25 off $50 purchase. There is also Henry Fields, they have coupons and lots of seeds. If you like Burpee, their catalog has $5 off $30 purchase coupon. I kind of spread my purchases out over several catalogs to take advantage of all of their free coupons. I also use Michigan Bulb, I think Audobon something, Breck's, etc.
Great Dane Mom Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 I just picked up some up today at Menard's. Burpee pre-priced $1.59 rang up at 0.95.
jacquero Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Walgreens had packets at 10 for $1 with prior weeks coupon. Regular price is 5 for $1. They had some veggie, herb and flower seed pkgs. I bought some sweet basil.
