I had checked this out last night - the cost to ship (for me) was $11.25

Shipped the cost is about the same as the Staples deal.

I decided that I need to go to Costco anyway - and will pick it up in person

You can check on the outside of the box, but I bet you have to pay to file. They used to offer a rebate on the filing fee, but I haven't seen that rebate in the last couple of years.

Thanks for reminding me to use my coupon, OP! I almost forgot.

Sorry, I may not understand what you have been asking. You can file on-line, but I think it's another $10 or $15 to file. The software actually will guide you through all of your return. The software is really to get your return ready to file. After completing your return, you can file on-line by paying a fee, or you can actually print out your return and mail it. I always file on-line if I am getting a refund. It will speed up the refund process by filing on-line. I think that I would mail my return if I owed money!

If you go to turbotax.com and do your taxes, I pay $29.99 for federal and $20 something for state.

The only difference is that if you buy the software, you either have to print out the taxes and send them in or do e-file.

I use the online because it is faster, all I do is fill it out, then efile through them. By doing it on line, I do pay a little more because there are no discounts or coupons.

Another advantage of online is it remembers your information from passed years. That is very handy!

I always buy the software, because I would rather have the information in my computer than theirs. I know its probably very safe, but this is the only thing online that I shy away from.

Call your Costco and see if they have any coupons at the customer service and/or tell them the price online and see what they will do. I used the coupon in the store because you dont have to pay Shipping.

When I ordered it online, the $15 off coupon was also for Free Shipping, so my total was $20.99 plus $1.26 sales tax, total $22.25! AWESOME deal!!

thank You !! for posting this update - I really did not want to go to Costco in person this weekend... but I did not want to pay that much for shipping (11.xx when I checked originally).

I ordered online 23.xx (darn NY state tax) delivered :)

wonder why the shipping changed...?
