Kayakmom Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 This is a public service announcement. Don't forget the batteries!!!!! http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31ObaqBKmqL._AA240_.jpg There's nothing sadder than a new toy with no batteries. (Can you tell it happened to me more than once as a child? LOL) If you give a gift that requires batteries, please provide them if you can!
elena_398 Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Im stocked on As, AAs, Cs, and Ds. (thanks to batteries.com and Rite Aid. LOL)
Kayakmom Posted December 24, 2007 Author Posted December 24, 2007 I always have AA and AAA's, but I grabbed spares and also picked up some C's and D's at Costco. I already had a new 6 pack of 9V's because hubby and I both bought them for smoke detector time.
alimfp Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 I highly recommend rechargeables!!! But I am headed out this morning to buy more plus maybe another charger..!

my2kidsmom Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 There should be a law tht any toy that needs batteries comes with a set of batteries.
tntsmomie Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 There should be a law tht any toy that needs batteries comes with a set of batteries. We have a big bag of batteries, just waiting for presents to be opened. I forgot to write down how many of what type we needed, so I grabbed AA, AAA, C & D. Let's hope none are 9V!

alimfp Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 I too was going to write down what batteries we needed .. but then I got to wrapping and forgot. Oops. I went out and bought some more this morning. I got a couple of 9V just in case as well, lol.
fulkersonm Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 I stocked up at batteries.com and even got new watch batteries for watches that haven't worked in a while. I was worried about getting them in time, but they arrived just a few days after I ordered them. If they are any good at all, it's a real deal. We use rechargeables also but with grand kids and their friends over with toys needing batteries I didn't want my rechargeables going home with them and getting pitched when they run down.

My ds11 is old enough to assemble his own stuff and my other kids' stuff...and some of mine, lol. Between him and my hubby, I rarely have to do any assembly. I want to assemble the Pirates of the Caribbean ship, though. We've lost lots of ship parts in the past, so I'm prepared with Super Glue.
