Amazon Price Adjustment Policy - if they say no via email, then call!

Got this email back from Amazon this evening....

The discounts we offer on items on our web site do vary from time to

time. I've checked your order, and found that we currently offer a

greater discount on items than at the time you placed your order.

 

Since this item has not yet shipped, I have adjusted the price to

reflect the current discounted price, $32.38. This is the price you

will be charged when the order ships.

 

On the date of shipment, you should receive an e-mail message

confirming the date, contents, and method of your shipment.

Weird thing is that my order has been adjusted online already and the total is $42.xx not $32.xx (and the cents aren't the same so it wasn't just a typo on the first number). I wonder if that means prices will drop even more and that the $32.xx is really all I'm going to be charged?? Oh well...I'm very happy with the $42!

Being they said it'd be $32, I'd push for that amount if the $42 sticks.

 

Also, on orders/items I've adjusted, I can check the order on Amazon of course but then at the bottom of the detailed order/invoice - it shows that I e'd or called and that they gave me an adjustment of X amount.

YEEEES! it's not much, but it's still a price adjustment. they didn't adjust before it shipped, so i just went ahead and emailed them.

I emailed Amazon last night for a price adjustment and have not heard anything back. How long does it usually take? Should I try emailing again today?

I've had four or five pa's. All have been done via email. One was done within about thirty minutes, and the rest were within a few hours. One took until late the next day. I just emailed about a pa for the george foreman g5 grill. A few days ago I paid 89.99 for it and was pretty happy about that, since it is sold out lots of places. This morning I woke up to a lovely message in my cart that the price has decreased $20.00 to 69.99. I just emailed cs, so we'll see how long this one takes!
