Holiday Tipping Quiz...How much should you tip...?

7 of 9 for me! I have been a pizza delivery driver for 7 years now and I call tell you how important tips are. I don't even make min. wage after 7 years with the same company because I am a tipped employee. Do you know how fustrating it is to see 15 yo kids that got hired yesterday making 2.00 more an hour than me just because they work in the store. At the same time when we are busy I too make pizzas, tend oven, answer phones or whatever they need me to do. And then I'm the one who sets out in 1/2 foot of snow burning precious gas to get that order to the customer quickly. So sometimes I feel like I'm doing more and getting paid less. This is why tips are so important for me and my family. I depend on my tips just as much as my paycheck. Please remember this when you order out this holiday season-you could be helping kids like mine!:)

wow...you just made me hungry for pizza. I always tip. So I'm sure they'll be happy to deliver to me!

I didn't do wo well.

Then again...I don't have a fitness trainer, newspaper boy, hairdresser, real school teachers, Nanny, Handyman, Housekeeper, etc. Most of that totally didn't apply to me. I figure, if you can afford all of those fancy people to be waiting on you, you'd probably depend on them quite a bit, and therefore you'd want to tip.

I however, do it all myself. Clean, take care of my own kids, cut everyone's hair in my family, my husband fixes everything, etc. So IF I ever did need to pay one of these people, it wouldn't be a long term relationship like that one question said, so there wouldn't be a tip.

I do tip the pizza guy, and I tip at restaurants, and latte stands.

I only got 4 of 9 right  It told me it wouldn't hurt for me to watch A Christmas Carol again LOL!! But I too don't have a nanny, or hairdresser, or building superintendent, etc. (But I did get the one right about not tipping the Ups driver who delivers your package ROFLMAO!!!)

6 out of 9, but I don't agree with the "Policies" on tipping. I tip according to the services provided and how they're used. I also tip more with resturants and pizza deliveries during the holidays if the service is great. I hate getting people who do a subpar job and think it's my duty to give them extra $$$, just because it's the holidays.

Only 4 right for me - and I guessed on some. I don't have a housekeeper, or a masseuse, or a handyman, or a super, LOL. I rarely go to the hairdresser - maybe 2 or 3 times a year and I always leave her a 20% tip everytime so I don't think I need to do anything special at Christmas, especially if I'm not going there anyway.

I tip 20% at restaurants and tip delivery drivers. I give a gift to my USPS driver and my kids' teachers.

Eh, I don't like the quiz.. I disagreed with some of the "correct" answers in fact.

I tip so well at times, DH gives me "the look" for it. I got one heck of a highlighting job done on my hair by a new girl at JcPenney salon.. total was $75, I tipped $25. MIL about fell over when she asked and found out how much I had tipped.. but I'll be going back to that girl for as long as possible and she did a GREAT job, so.. ?!

No matter what, I always tip according to the level of service I receive.. holiday time or not.

I got a 7 out of 9. I got the one wrong about the building superintendent. It doesn't apply to me, so I have no idea! I also got the one wrong for the nanny/housekeeper about a week's salary plus a gift. If I had one of those, I'd probably tip them a little extra all year round because I'd be so grateful for the help!!! :P

I tend to tip 20% at restaurants if the service is reasonable. If I have a very small check (under $10), tip could be anywhere from 25-50%. I eat breakfast out with the girls at least once a week and I got our regular waitress a super soft stuffed moose (she loves them) and I'll probably leave an extra $5 or $10 for her. Our bill is usually $7.45 for breakfast. She has my drink on the table before I even sit down. She double checks that I want my regular and I have my food just about by the time I get the girls settled in. I love it! It's my little bit of relaxation to let someone else serve me since I serve others all week long at home! I want her to know that I totally appreciate it. :)

My mail lady is getting a gift card to the bead store for $20. She took up beading this year. :)

Kids' teachers I am putting in for the class gift. I may also send along some cookies.

UPS man is getting cookies. I don't care what that quiz says. He's awesome and he's here several times a week, sometimes with large packages! I bought extra tins of Cub Scout popcorn, so he may get one of those if I don't get ambitious and start baking soon!

I tip 20% at every restaurant. Babysitter is getting a giftcard for 2 weeks salaries.

mailman, newspaper carrier, school busdriver $5 gift cards from WAWA

teachers $10 giftcards

Dance teacher bath & body products

Girl Scout leader gift basket of tastefully simple products

I am debating about the trashmen-what....

I got 7 out of 9, pretty good but they were basically guesses since I don't have a nanny, building superintendent, trainer, or a handyman!! I'm thinkin I'm all of them wrapped in one..........so who's giving me my tip!! lol....
