Internal Hard Drives?

I'm checking out that 320gb HDD from BB for $59.99, but is this the best deal?

Is there any others out there that are a better deal. I know there's the WD 400gb at staples, but that has rebates involved, which I do not like, :(

Anyone anticipating any better deals to pop up? I'm looking for at least another 320gb hard drive and it has to be SATA preferably with a 16mb cache.

I don't blame you one bit for not liking rebates, but if it's a Staples "Easy Rebate" then you have nothing to worry about. I've been playing the rebate game for about 6 years now and their Easy Rebate program is by far and away the best out there. After the purchase you go online and fill out a form with some information from the receipt, and then the check comes 2 to 3 weeks later. It's been that easy for me at least five times or more thus far. If it's a manufactuer's rebate though proceed with the normal caution ;). I've had to fight with manufactuer's clearing houses at least a half dozen times over the years. Thankfully the rebate game has really slowed down over the last year or so.

To answer your question though I don't recall seeing a larger internal SATA for sale anywhere. Hopefully someone else will chime in with more info.

I'm looking to get a hard drive as well and was thinking about the same exact two items (Staples vs. BB).

Another factor that will add to the consideration is that traditionally BestBuy will have 10 times the line as Staples. In my area I'm usually standing right there at the front of the line at Staples around 4:30-5am while in BB around that hour I'd be about half a block away from the entrance :D

I most likely will go to Staples just because of this.

Well when you make the turnaround seem so fast on the "easy" rebates, I might just have to consider that 400gb model from staples (That would just mean one more stop for me during my Black Friday adventure)

I can only hope that Newegg.com chimes in with something super, maybe a 500gb SATA HDD for $60 with free shipping. :)
