cherry33778 Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 This ad would be great if there was an OfficeMax nearby.
darianwiccan Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Maybe it's just me... but I've been mostly disappointed so far this year, and OfficeMax continues the trend.
The End Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 I found a few things of interest in the ad. I guess it all depends on what you're looking for. Though, I'll have to wait until the Best Buy & Staples ads come out (both stores are within a stone's throw of Office Max where I live) before I say that I'm definitely going to Office Max on BF.
slinkster65 Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 I was hoping to see a couple more monitors since that is one thing I am wanting as an early bday/christmas gift (since they are within 11 days of eachohter).
Brad Posted November 7, 2007 Author Posted November 7, 2007 OfficeMax typically has these short, lackluster ads, so this year is really no different. One item that caught my eye, at least as being deeply discounted, was this HP 4-in-1 wireless printer: http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com/black-friday-1553-HPPhotosmartC7180Wireless4in1Printer.html $149 in the ad, while the cheapest price on PriceGrabber for it is $300: http://gottadeal.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=25813841/search=c7180/sort_type=bottomline
RaineeDay1 Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 well I would say this years gotta have items for many people are GPS and digital photo frames. I am thinking about the frame as a gift and that sweet 500 gig HD for myself. Oh and blank DVDs. M y problem is OfficeMax is out of teh way for me so I may end up PMing
H_Hancock Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Personally, Office Max underwhelms again.....and is worse this year than last. That HP wireless printer is attractive, though, and I was also looking at the Samsung color laser printer. But, BB is calling my name again this year, as it has every year before......c'est la vie.

Decent price on it and it's one of the more highly rated GPS units out there.....esp. for the money.
conleybunch Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Awesome, we have one if these stores in our area.
lesliepear Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 That 12MP Olympus for $199 looks really good - I have last year's 7MP Olympus special from them and am very happy with it. The only problem (I bought online) was the case and camera shipped seperately and one took forever to come (I forgot which).

DramaQueenLucy Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 They have a few things that I would want may have to make this stop on BF there is one not far from my BB. Thanks for the ad...Brad now I can't wait to see what ad today holds...
Marcster Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 yes I seen that.. now WHERE is there a pepboys in my area? THAT is my next question..http://pepboysstorelocator.shoplocal.com/pepboys/store_finder.aspx?action=storefindernuep can you order on line the boorbusters? No, hence the name "doorbusters". You can order sale items online, but not time-limited doorbusters.
jadedmomof2 Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 You know, really not that bad. I see a few things I'm going to pick up there. Like the DVD-R disc bundles.
aerosmithgirl Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 I don't have an Office Max near, but the Sony camera and printer bundle for $99 would have been great for my daughter for Christmas. She loves to take pictures.
countingcrow Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 This is the year to buy if you want GPS or a digital photo frame! Officemax ad was pretty weak, unless you were desperate for a printer, or looking for the usual assortment of gps and photo frames. I was hoping for some decent lcd monitor deals, but all they had listed was that 24", which is not what I'm looking for. Well, we shall see what Staples and Best Buy have up their sleeves.
txmomma Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 There are some decent deals in this ad. I am anxiously awaiting the BB ad though.
Marcster Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 The Zune is a good deal. But if that's all you are after, you can order it from Amazon for $10 less:http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=86274
darkcreole Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 I don't see really anything there to make me want to go. I've seen similar prices throughout the year. Kinda sad I guess. Maybe they're waiting to hit us with the sales after BF??
star1979 Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 The HP 4-in-1 printer works for me, mines has one foot in the grave.
jlouie Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 But if that's all you are after, you can order it from Amazon for $10 less:http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=86274Yea I know hehe, I saw that deal. But I mean if you don't want the ugly brown color, this is a good deal.
IDmom262 Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Yea I know hehe, I saw that deal. But I mean if you don't want the ugly brown color, this is a good deal. The ad says brown only ... I thought it was a great deal until I saw the little print.
Brad Posted November 9, 2007 Author Posted November 9, 2007 We received a C&D from OfficeMax's legal reps a short while ago who are demanding that the ad be taken down by tomorrow. Therefore I suggest you save the ad to your computer very soon. While the ad will be removed from the BF site, we will save the items that are currently on your shopping list, and once we can re-post the ad, the items will be restored to your shopping lists. This seems to be a disturbing trend this year...
Azzycat Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 We received a C&D from OfficeMax's legal reps a short while ago who are demanding that the ad be taken down by tomorrow.I really do appreciate how they let you keep it up for a few more hours, gotta give them credit there....
Brad Posted November 9, 2007 Author Posted November 9, 2007 I really do appreciate how they let you keep it up for a few more hours, gotta give them credit there....Let's not get carried away with giving them credit - the deadline was probably more because they sent the e-mail after business hours and couldn't know that it would be read before tomorrow anyway.
Gurnee Al Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Brad, you make several references to reposting the ad at some point after you take them down. Is that saying these retailers don't mind you posting the ad once they've officially released it? If that's case, I'd consider not re-posting it and advertising for them. But then again, you'd just be hurting the loyal GD'ers.
