Wow! That's awesome!! I may need to find out what my student email is so I can get this package! There are a lot of things on there that I use regularly like powerpoint and word!!!

I'm excited!!!! I intended to buy this for dd when she movedinto her dorm a few weeks ago. The college was selling it for $100 and I thought that was a good deal. But we didn't end up finding time to be at the right place at the right time. Just yesterday, I was telling her she needed to check and see if they still had that! Woo Hoo! This makes my day!

I went to the website and if you read the fine print, it looks like this allows for 25 times worth of use and then if you want to continue, you have to purchase the license. Does anyone else read it this way? See below:

That's how I read it when I first checked out the link. Sure hope not cause otherwise it would be a sweet deal for sure. I know Office is around $125 for the "student" edition and the only thing is you can't use it to upgrade later on. Then again, the "special upgrade price" is usually more than a new student version runs.

Yes, that's right. It's a trial specifically for college students and if you like it, you can buy it for $59.95.

 

But you must be a student currently enrolled in at least one college course, with a .edu e-mail address, and be able to provide college ID if requested.

 

Nothing is really buried in the fine print... It's a heck of a deal if you can meet those conditions.

The real thing is $60 and for an additional $6 you can get multipule downloads for 2 years. I guess this is incase you change computers.

DigitalRiver, the company handling the delivery of the software, typically offers that multiple downloads service in case your hard drive dies and you lost your installation files in the process.

 

It's much more cost-effective to save that $6 and burn two copies on DVDs (or CDs if it fits). Heck, buy yourself a latte and a snack with the $6. Two copies should cover you in case one of the disks went bad.

This would be nice if my school provided me with an email. I have a psu.edu email but I'm not taking any classes there right now. The 2 schools "work" together and I know next year with the Nursing Program I will be back at PSU.

 

I should email the nursing school and ask if we can have emails...doubt they will give them to us though.

That is a great deal for students!

 

I will be passing this along to a couple of my friends who attend classes.

 

It isn't as good as the deal I got through my job though.... $20 shipped for the full version. ;) Check with your employer to see if they are part of the Microsoft HUP.

Ok, am I missing something here? I ordered this for dd on the 14th. On the confirmation page, it said that she would be mailed a key code to unlock the program for use. DD downloaded the program (hopefully that worked fine) but she has never received the e-mail with the key. Did you guys who ordered get yours? When I look at the site, it says the code is on the confirmation page, but if it is, I'm not seeing it identified as such. I e-mailed the question to the contact address on the site, but have not received a response. Anybody have a phone number? I was so excited to get this deal, but if I end up wasting $59, that is no deal. Suggestions??

Some employers have a Microsoft home users program. Through that program I was able to get Microsoft office 2007 Enterprise edition for 20 bucks. I had no idea about the program until an IT guy mentioned it to me, so ask your IT department if you employer is eligible for this. They have MS office for Mac available there as well.

 

It is pretty different from the 2003 version.
