jarerice Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 How Long do you leave your Decorations up! Do you take them down right after Christmas or in January or after? Our is after the first of the year. There is just to much going on!!!!

Usually, we put ours up the day before Thanksgiving, so the house is nicely decorated when the family comes for dinner AND so we have a place to put the presents we buy on bf. We take the tree down as we are cleaning up from opening our Christmas presents. It's always so nice to see them go up, but just as refreshing to see them go down.

laffnatu Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 I usually take them down the evening of the 25th... if I can find the time. My dd17's bd is the 26th and my son11's bd is the 28th. The rest of the week is usually busy so I try to get everything down early.

I will leave my snowmen decorations out until I have to decorate for Valentines Day. I have a big wooden snowman I made that sits outside at my entrance that has a christmas tree beside him. I leave him out until March. I just switch the lights from Christmas to Valentines to shamrocks.

He's off the week of Christmas this year and I have to work so I'll probably come home the first day I'm gone and everything will be put away.. LOL

mgmckny Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 Depends on the year, never before early January and one year the tree didn't come down til March (we did take the decorations off, except the lights- it was a pre=lit). Life was really hectic then.
