pastasalad Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Cheese & Crackers!!!! ever since that commercial LOL thats what the kids want to leave.
abentley Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 when Santa is at our house.. he wants peanut clusters. I have to leave out cookies just for tradition sake.
christib327 Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 same as everyone else milk and cookies for Santa (my kids get SO excited when they see the plate in the morning and it just has crumbs on it) and carrots for the reindeer
droolbug2 Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 cookies and milk for santa...carrots and water for the reindeer and we put "reindeer food" all over the yard
JazzMama Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Cookies and milk (but it stays in the fridge; our Santa doesn't like warm milk) and oats/carrots for the reindeer.
pastasalad Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 guess I am the only non-traditional one out there-I swear it was those darn cheese commercials that did my children in!
mandifour Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 We do fresh baked cookies and milk, and leave reindeer food in the grass.
gr8girls Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Cookies & milk Carrots & water and reindeer food in the yard. We did do cheese last year though!
tlock1945 Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 We always leave milk and cookies, some years the kids threw magic reindeer dust in the yard(oats w/ glitter) and a couple years ago, my son insisted we leave Santa one of his Dad's cigars and a bottle of his Guinness. LOL We always leave a few crumbs on the plate and really drink from the glass so it looks real and some years my DH uses a calligraphy pen and leaves a note thanking the kids from Santa.
littlesdcen Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Blooming Onion. We always go to Out Back Christmas Eve for the Onion. A Carrot for Rudolph.
doublehsmom Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 My children have always put out milk and cookies and then carrots for the reindeer. but I remember when I was little my dad always made us put a beer out for santa along with the cookies..and he would always drink some of it..lol..
Jennifer0530 Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 We leave hot chocolate on the stove and a note telling Santa to take any snack from the cupboard he wants, plus we put reindeer food and carrots on the yard (usually it's snow covered). Santa always leaves the cupboard opened and the snack wrapper on the counter with a thank you note.
berry1014 Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Milk and cookies (my daughter make a special cut out sugar cookie just for Santa) Celery or carrots for the reindeer
Bunniq Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Cheese & Crackers!!!! ever since that commercial LOL thats what the kids want to leave.I leave cheese and crackers as well in hopes Santa will leave me a few extra goodies! I simply adore that commercial. "I didn't leave him cookies, I left him Cheese!!!!"
Christy Garner Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 It has never been a tradition in my house to leave something out for Santa but occasionally we leave milk and cookies. However, when the kiddos go to bed - Santa, aka mom and dad, have lots coffee to keep them awake along with a midnight snack.
Guest shawna6676 Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 milk and cookies here too...carrots or celery for reindeer
lilac100 Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Fresh baked cookies, my DS always help bake and decorate them on Christmas Eve, Milk, and carrots.
ms_mckenna Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Cookies and coke. Santa is not fond of milk at our house for some reason. I like carrots I never thought about doing that.
Marcster Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Dry cat food and water, I'm sure the cats are willing to share. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Animals/pink.gif
wyntyrose Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 My children have always put out milk and cookies and then carrots for the reindeer. but I remember when I was little my dad always made us put a beer out for santa along with the cookies..and he would always drink some of it..lol..I bet Santa loved your house that year. LOL.
mgmckny Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Traditionally we have always left out cookies and a glass with a note to help himself. I notice he likes the eggnog the best (with a little kahlua or amaretto in it). But we have also left out sausage balls and left instructions on where the rest of the leftovers from a Christmas Eve get together were located in the frig. Last year my youngest son made cookies with mommie's tired help (she had to work on CHristmas Eve in a call center for all those ungrateful people that waited until the last minute--the actual last business day to order online and expected delivery in time for Christmas) because he didn't want Santa to eat store bought cookies again. (I know Santa loved the Oreos with the red icing the year before).
jbdinos Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 We do either cookies or candy depending on what the kids have left because they refuse to leave him store bought anything so it's whatever is left after the family has been over. Usually leave milk out but once in while we have to leave chocolate milk. For the reindeer, apples.... they eat them core and all and usually find a stem or a seed or two on the plate and that is it.
nedsw33 Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 nothing... of course, if we had kids, that might be a different story... haha.
carolannec Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 We leave out cookies and milk(which stays in the fridge) for Santa and carrots for the reindeer.
