jb082278
1-800-FREE-411 A computer will ask you to answer 2-3 questions about the number you are looking for. While you wait for them to retreive the # a sponsored message lasting 8-10 seconds comes on. Then they will ask if you want to here more from the sponsor.I always say no but it's up to you. Then you get the #, free. It sounds like a lot but the total call length is anywhere from 1-2 min. I think it is worth saving $1-2. I am not associated with the company in any way. I am just looking to save money like everyone else. Enjoy Jeff
blssed2bme
Thanks for this info. I usually use the internet to find a number but this will work when I don't have a computer on hand. Thx
Kayakmom
I use the internet, too, but I'm always trying to remember the number when I'm on my cell. I think I'll program it so that it's handy. On the weekends it's free minutes for me, so it's even better!

BirdFur
Sorry, jb082278, nothing personal but I'm such a skeptic about anything on the Internet that I had to look this one up on Snopes. Turns out, it's true! Short explanation, it's a paid-for-by-advertisers service: http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/nothing/free411.asp This is going in my phone right now. Thank you very much. :)
elite2058
I have used it and after a short advertisement, you get your number. Its worth adding it to your address book.
ponycal
I've had this in my cell phone speed dial for months. Saves a lot of money and time. I've used it several times for free without having to listen to any ads until last week. Oh well, it's still a great deal!
Novac
This one has been in my cell phone contact list for quite some time. It's a great service for when you're out and need a number. Usually, I end up getting connected to an operator anyway.
