babygirl913 Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 If so how was it?? was it crazy at Midnight? I'm thinking it shouldn't have been too bad...seems like everybody was in line at the Best Buys
jtolpin Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 Wrentham MA -- The woman behind me at Target (at 5:30 AM) said there were NO parking spots at ALL there last night. JAM PACKED Jason
rogue1230 Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 OMG! Wrentham?? rediculous........I was headed up to Walamrt bellingham and no joke ALL 3 LANES of 495n DEAD STOP from the 95 exit!!!!! IT was insane, my friend tried the "back door" by taking aces roads thu plainville, packed for those too! I talked to a girl in line at walmart who went to the outlet? said said the sales were not so hot!
athena3 Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 I was at the Crossings outlet in Tannersville PA at 6am this morning and the clerks said that at midnight it was mobbed. They said there was about 300 people waiting in line to go into the Coach outlet. All the other stores were crazy also....
babygirl913 Posted November 24, 2006 Author Posted November 24, 2006 oh my goodness:eyepoppin ...I wanted to go the the leesburg outlets in my area for the Coach store...glad I didn't bother...300 people waiting to get in?? insane!!!!
lowballerforlife Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 wow i was thinking of going, good thing i didnt
xfountaingrl Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 Haha, I was wondering why the traffic was DEAD STOPPED to get onto 495 near the Wrentham Outlets at 1am... That never crossed my mind.
roofpirate Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 leesburg va had worse traffic at 12:30 AM than it does at rush hour because of those outlets... there was barely no parking and the lines inside the stores wrapped around the store a few times. the coach store still had a line at 5 AM when we left the outlet. crazy
heather2309 Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 i went to grove city and wow i got there early thank god when we went to the food court to eat you could see the traffic backed up for miles and i don t think i will do it again i love to shop but wow to many people and things were trashed wanted to go to bath n body but you couldn`t get around and no joke at least 50 people were checking out
becksters06 Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 Prime outlets in Pleasant Prairie, WI was backed up on the exit all the way off the interstate a good 1/2 mile or so. It was crazy. I guess the 10:00 news here already had it on about how busy it was. We got there around 20 after 11. I just turned around and went to wait at Circuit City instead. Didn't need anything there at all, I was just going cause it was opened so early!
tokanm Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 According to WBZ radio Wrentham Outlets had over an 1.5+ hour wait just to get into the parking lot. Traffic was backed up on 495 for miles on one direction (I later heard it was a fatal car accident) and backed up quite a bit in the other direction as well. It was like a monsoon here too, torrential rains and winds. No shopping is worth that. I didn't even attempt to go to the mall area in North Attleboro. However Ocean State Job Lot had some great deals as did Walgreens
leefamily23 Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 We almost went to Grove City-- glad I didn't from what I'm reading. We decided back a few weeks ago to hit it up over Veteran's Day instead and stick w/ all the department stores today.
housechef2 Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 I went to the Fremont, Indiana outlets at 6:45 am (they opened at 6:00 am) and there was no one there but a handful of people. But I drove by a Menards that people couldn't even turn into the parking lot because it was so full.
JChui Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 i went to the one in Chicago and we were stuck on the highway alone for three hours. after having enough with the traffic, we saw lost patience and seeing that the mall was next to the highway, we hopped out of the car in traffic and ran across the grassy area next to the highway to get to the mall. it was shear madness, people were lining up at coach for their sale. it was almost like a free for all.
fairydustcrissy Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 I went to Dawsonville GA mall...at 1 am the placew was insane. I had to park 2 blocks away & walk. Then I waited in line at Timberland for 1 hr 15 min to pay. The coach line was down the entire aisle, out into the parkinglot. There had to be over 500 people waiting.
cmh1919 Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 Went to the St. Augustine Outlets at midnight, absolutely insane! Had to wait in huge lines at Coach for an extra 10% off, not really worth waiting for but ended up buying a purse like everyone else for some reason. When I left the mall at 2:30 there was still a line to get into Aeropostale and Coach. Had to wait in line behind 30 people at Yankee Candle but went by in about 30 minutes. Went to Gap and walked right back out. I kid you not - counted at least 100 people (I am not exaggerating) in line weaving around the entire store which is pretty big. The deals at most stores out there were really good, especially with VIP coupons, GAP coupons, etc... on top of the discounts. I don't know if I will do it again next year, it was a mob. No parking spaces available when I left at 2:30 am.
Sunshyne Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 I went to the Rockvale Outlets in Lancaster, PA. The road was all backed up because the Tangier outlets were opened too, and I had to pass them first. There was a line of at least 200 people to get into the Pottery Barn. Took forever to check out at KB Toys, and then I just looked around at some stores and didn't buy anything else. I had a hard time finding a parking place, but finally found the bus parking...walked through the pass, and I was right at KB...so that worked out.
elena_398 Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 I wanted too, but the outlet store by me was over an hour away. Didn't feel like driving to them last night. Fog was so bad I could hardly see 5 feet in front of me.

I was done with the bellingham "circuit" by 730, had breakfast, went to Kohls and AC moore and then home tio sllep till around 3... I headed out to the Mall then.... I GOT A SPACE NEAR THE DOOR IN 5 minutes flat!!!! Headed to the outlets after that literally from emerald square to Wrentham Outlets in 15 minutes. I found a parking spot right near "off saks 5th", BUT you wouldn't beleieve the paking people took! Like parking on the little rass islands and on the embankments near the cracker barrel!!!! I took pic and i will post them, because jeez it was a wonder theses cars didn't just roll off the hill at the crazy angles they were parked in.....But the shopping is done--- for now,,,,,I hit every major installation
BCBGirl Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 The line to get into Grove City Outlets was 10 miles long.
Floridasunshine Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 My 11 year old daughter begged all week to go to the midnight opening, so I finally gave in. We went to St. Augustine, FL Outlets... originally went to the left side of I-95 to the Prime Outlets. That was a total bad joke! All the good stores were closed! Wasted an hour there and then went to the right side of I-95 to the Premium outlets and it was a complete mad house! My 11 year old daughter and I drove 45 miles there, 45 back, and spent 4 hours total ...... all to buy two headbands at Limited Too and $5.00 worth of jewelry at Claire's.... NEVER AGAIN!!!

I'm in Reeders .. right down the road! I had no idea that the outlets were open at midnight! I would've been there to shop for clothes for my 2 little girls!
gisellerol Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 I Went To The Chicago One And It Was Madness I Was In Line At The Ecko Store For 2 1/2 Hours Every Store Was The Same I Will Never Go Again
89MustangGX Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Went to the Seattle Premium Outlets and ended up parking nearly a mile away at the casino next door (not much parking there either!). Coach line was about 200 long, with other stores not as bad but still lines. Went into a couple and found lackluster sales and long lines to checkout. Ended up coming back later that night and only really missed out on 10% off at Coach and similar at other stores -- glad I didn't spend all night there. Adam
Turtle Mommy Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 My Mom's friend went to the one in Orlando and said the deals were not that great. I am glad I didnt go!
kselzer Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 I went to Prime Outlet Mall in Jeffersonville, Ohio and it was crazy. We got there a hour before opening and it was busy (they were giving away gift bags to the first x-number of people, but there was way more than that in line - so no point waiting), we went to breakfast, came back and is was just plain crazy. I stood in line at Coach for a hour! Lane Bryant for about 30 minutes because they couldn't get the registers to accept credit/debit or checks - cash only. When we left there was about 1.5 miles of people parked on the side of the highway. The people were hopping the fence to get to the mall However we saw about a dozen tow trucks so I imagine quite a few people were not happy when they went to try and find their car. The line was backed up about 2-3 miles down the highway just to get off the exit for the mall - and this was at 2:30am! It was sheer madness! Can't wait to do it again next year. Next year I plan on going to the outlet mall only and not trying to do that and the regular stores :)
