On bf there was a regular (not lite) DS for $99 and that's the cheapest I've seen it. I hven't seen a DS Lite for less than $129.

I got DS a DS (hmmm, that doesn't sound right) last year. I bought a used one at Blockbuster for around $130. He loves it.

 

I thought the Lite was a little less -- are you telling me it is a little more? Just curious. Thanks.

The lite is the newer version and is more expensive.

Circuit City has them advertised @ $129 this week with a free game in store. Its not a bad deal...not the best I have seen this holiday, but a decent deal since BF has passed.

Does anyone know of any current deals or coupons that bring it under a $100 now? My brother just told my Mom that his son wants this for Christmas. Nothing like waiting til' the last minute! My Mom's budget is $100 and it's about $130 everywhere I'm looking. Do any retailers have big sales on Christmas Eve that might bring it under $100. Will anyone even have this in stock anymore?

You might find the original DS somewhere for about that price but the lite is going to be about 130 and that is IF you can lay your hands on one.

Check at EB games/gamestop, they have used ones for 89.99 and they guarantee their used stuff for a period of time.

Okay, I'm out of the loop, what is the difference between the original and the Lite besides the Lite being the newer one?
