amyers12345 Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 I am trying to figure out when the best time is to send them. We have already gotten some, and we'll get some 2 days after Christmas. Is there any 'set' time to send them out? When are you guys doing it?
mrn8 Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 We try to get them out the first week of December. That way they arrive after Thanksgiving, but well before Christmas. This year we did a Shutterfly photo card. It was so easy, but they turned out really nice.
cwife Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 The 2nd week of December. I usually get my tree up the Monday after Thanksgiving then we take a family photo in front of it. We use snapfish for photo cards and it takes about a week to get them back then I drop them in the mail:)
elena_398 Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 I just got my kids'christmas pics taken last night. They are due in the 2nd week of December. Prior to that, I'll have all my notes written and everything addressed. Once I pic up the pics, I'll put them in the cards and send them out asap
ajburlingame Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 I typically try to send mine out during the 1st or 2nd week of December.
Jordi56 Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 I will sent mine out the first week of December.
jennypoo3016 Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Im going to try and get them out 1st or 2nd week of december
Kygal2003 Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 I get mine sent out the first week in December!
droolbug2 Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 I usually get mine out the first week of December. I've never liked receiving Christmas cards before Thanksgiving.
cmw1009 Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 i sent mine out yesterday....this way everyone should start receiving them on Friday or Saturday
ms_mckenna Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Usually the first or second week in December.
christib327 Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 I've had ours ready to send for a few weeks now, but I'm waiting till next week to send them out. I wanted to be sure no one would get it before Thanksgiving.
Steakgoddess Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 I am going to try to send some this year.
DramaQueenLucy Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 I write them all the weekend after Thanksgiving and mail them the following Monday..so I guess I had better get busy.
candlesbytammy1 Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 About a week after Thanksgiving. I start writing them out T-day and about a week later they are finished and ready to go. Not too early but not late.
Missye Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 I start sending mine out the first week of December also. We have personal cards and business cards that we send out. With the business Christmas cards we include a business card just to remind former customers about us. This has worked and we do get return cards from them. Great Marketing!!!!!
misshayley Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 Mine will be sometime after I get my Christmas pictures back. We are taking the picture today and then I will order them so probably mid December.
3cuties4me Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 Last year I sent them out on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving! LOL! I was so excited that I was so ahead of the game! AND THEN... my grandma calls to tell me on THAT Wednesday "Hey, thanks for the Christmas card"! Obviously, our mail guy dropped it off at her house THAT DAY! YIKES! That was too early! Some other family members ALSO got the card that day! LOL! So this year I thought I would mail them the Monday after Thanksgiving. It is not going to happen! I LOVE photography and do all of my kids "professional" pictures... I have the pictures done but have not made the cards yet I have to do that this week and get them ordered (thankfully, it will only take about 3-4 days to get them after ordering). I'm hoping to have them sent out by the 11th of December! ~ Erin (SAHM to 3 cuties ages 3 and under)
migirlfriday Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 I usually send them out right after Thanksgiving. This year I am not sure. I have a steady boyfriend who does not live with me and I am not sure how to sign and return address the cards? My relatives will expect to see his name on the card, but if they send one back with his name on the envelope, my mail lady might get confused. Also, I did not ask him if it is ok to put his name on the card. What would you do?
akm2u Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 First week of December usually but this time I'm shooting for 12/1!
cotejb Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 I've gotten almost all of mine done but I have to get stamps on Saturday and then I'll send them out.
kdymott Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 I usually send them out right after Thanksgiving. What would you do?I would first ask my boyfriend if it's OK and/or explain that it might be more appropriate for the 'future' ... but I can't think of any reason why anyone would send a card with his name and your address if the card is meant for you(?).It's kind of awkward, like my friend who was explaining just today - her cousin who always insisted on including her 'beau the moment' in the family album pictues... looking at the photos over time - it is very strange that there is a different guy in every wedding picture....
