amyers12345 Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 That's so funny.. i actually did this the other day. We were at a Wal-mart about 15 miles away, on our way home from line standing for TMX. I saw they had the TMX Barbies on the shelf. I didn't have my laptop, so I couldn't tell if they had them in stock a lot now, or if i needed to buy them for extra christmas $$. I hid 5, very discreetly. Came home and looked 'em up, and they are bringing less than retail. If anyone needs them, I'll tell you where they are hid. I'm not making a trip back to 'release' them!
elena_398 Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 I did this before a some clearanced Polly Pocket refills for the sticker maker. I bought the 2 at the clearanced price of $4 then hid 6 more behind some car models. They lower their stuff at my Walmart pretty quickly so I went back alittle more than a week later and they were still there...Rang up $1. I bought all 6 then one more that I found later in another area (maybe someone had the same idea as myself) lol
krstee Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Never hid anything - but have heard of others doing it. Don't know if I really need to though. It looks like a lot of the BF stuff is also available on wm.com.
Melissa Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 I haven't done it thus far but I certainly would if I "needed" to.
migirlfriday Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 I haven't done it for BF, but a few years ago I wanted a newly released book and the only place I could find it in stock was at Meijer and I didn't have the money for it that day(Kmart or Walmart I could have did layaway), so I just stuck it in the back of a stack of older books and went back a few days later and it was still there.
Princessarky Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 nope never have almost seems like the deer hunters that get their prey by feeding them first........I like the hunt
sm1kla Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Never hid merchandise @ WM, but have moved a few Tommy & Ralph Lauren items from little boys dept to the Women's dept and found them several weeks later. I was so happy to learn that not only were they marked down 25%, they were also the sizes that I needed.
elena_398 Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Don't do it usually but like I said before, I did it on clearance items. My Walmart sells clearance stuff so quickly and they also go down in price so quickly. So glad I hid my sticker refills as I heard they are hard to find.
sissykus Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 I just wanted to remind you that even though some of this stuff is online for BF, don't you still have to pay shipping? I had thought about doing that for a tv, but the shipping on it was 20.00.
hpowers Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Never done it & never PM.Never Price Matched???? Careful, you'll lose your Gottadeal membership!!
angelicswtnss Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 I did that once and was surprised that it actually worked.
caramel Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 You guys are evil! EVIL! LOL j/k that's actually a good idea that I must steal.
angel-too Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Theres two things I need from Target on BF. Went to Target today with the model #'s and they're the same so I 'hid' them. Might have done it a little too early, but we'll see.
