Does a ticket guarantee the item?

I might be buying a view ticket items. So it might take me a while to get to all of them. Im just wondering what are the chances I get a ticket for the item and when I go to get it its been sold? Anyone ever hear of this happening or have it happen to them? Also what should I do in the event that this happens. Would complaining to the manager help (maybe get something else for cheap) or is it just tough luck for me? Thanks.

From what I've read.. they give you till a certain time, and if you dont show up, they sell it. Other than that, its a guarantee you get your item, as long as your one of the lucky ticket holders. Plus the Deal ends at 11am anyways.. so you dont want to wait too long, or your gonna pay more after that time, and that would be a waste.

Last year if you had a ticket then yes, you were pretty much guaranteed an item. However, in past years I've gotten tickets while waiting in line and never had to give them to an employee to pick up an item.

 Employees should be doing their and look at the tickets. Otherwise, people with tickets lose their item that they wanted.

I would complain and asked what's the point of giving out ticket if the person with ticket doesn't get item.

Last year (or year before) the Sandisk 128mb player was a ticketed item. Our store put a nube behind the counter. She was passing out players 4-5 at a time to whoever wanted them. There were a number of ticket holders (me included) that asked for ours after they had been cleaned out. The manager gave us all upgrades on the players to the next biggest one. They must have lost lots of $$$ on that mistake!

Last year at the BB I was at the Sandisk 512 was on an endcap in the middle of the store. They were cleaned out within minutes of the store opening.

If I camp out with my brother and husband and get the ticket's can I give my tickets to my husband and brother so I can run to Walmart for open? Will they let them claim 2 of a ticket item or maybe they could claim one pay get back in line and get the other?

You can come back later after Walmart. The y told you until what time you have to claim your product.

I called the local Best Buy here in Orlando (Florida Mall) and they said that they have no plans as of yet for BF. and that they would get official instructions from HQ tomorrow. do you believe this or are they just keeping this stuff under wraps?

I would say half and half. I was at BB yesterday and my personal shopper said that they were getting orders from HQ this week and after that the store was going to have a store wide meeting about BF. We will have to wait and see.

ji just spoke to a employee at a best buy here near me, and they said they would just be opening the doors, they don't know anything about giving out tickets for BF. all she knew about was that they were going to hand out tickets for the PS3 and Wii on Friday.

On the front page of the ad scan it says they will have tickets. I would go back and talk to the manager. The employee does not know what she is talking about. I would not take her advice.

i just heard that if you have a ticket you have to go to another line inside the store to get your ticket item are there going to be more lines inside for the non ticket items like the monitors or do we make a dash for these are these items going to be sitting on a pallet or on shelves

Once you get your tickets then you will have to stand in line for each ticketed item. For example if you get a TV, laptop and desktop you will have to stand in 2 lines. One line for the laptop and desktop and the 2nd line for the TV. Items you will have to make a dash for is MP3 players, CDs, DVD, etc.

last year our BB had the "ticket" items(along with accesories) laid out in the car stereo installation bay, and you could get into that line whenever you wanted to by 11am. They had personal shoppers then take the tickets and get your items. At check out, we got offered a $40 discount on our purchase if we paid $10 for a rewards card, so we were well pleased with our experience there last year...we saved a ton of money. Wish they had more attractive mp3 prices this year though, we'll be headed to CC for the 1st time on BF

Last year my son, DIL, my friend and I camped out at BB for the computers. We had tickets for the desktops and laptops this was around 4 am. My DIL and I gave our tickets to my son and friend and we went to TRU and Target to stand in line since they opened at 5 am.

Got in and out at the TRU and Target went back to BB. Stood in line there for our computers only to find that they did not have anymore laptops. I had a ticket but they did not have the same number of laptops as tickets. I complained to no avail no compinsation either. So tickets don't necessarily guarentee you a product. I did find the 1 gig thumb drives that were on sale.

Better luck this year, plan on camping out again just earlier than last year. We was there at 11:30 pm will be alot earlier this year. This year going south to Texas to BF with Big Brother and SIL and nieces.

Actually the Sandisk Sansa e250r 2gb mp3 player isn't a bad one to get. I have this one and hate that I bought it over the summer and paid 180 for it. But it plays music, you can put pictures into it and you can even upload movies into it and watch them. It also has a slot in it to add the micro sd cards to add more gigs. I love mine, has good sound etc. Screen is a bit small for viewing movies (for me) but my one daughter took it with her to work over the summer and was watching movies on it. So I'm hoping to get her one for Christmas. 99 bucks is a good buy.

Some meatball tried that last year and not only had his ticket taken from him, but was escorted out of the store by security!

As for selling tickets, people did it for Playstation 2 and 3 ( I got a little over $100 for one during the PS2 launch and my friend got almost $400 for one) outside Best Buy..at least over in Saginaw MI... they might still frown on it but I think people do it anyways. I do, however, think that it would be very rude to do it on BF simply because, to most, this is the only time they can really afford to give their families nice gifts.. I know that is how it is for me.

I was injured at work and had a shattered ankle and dislocated knee and have only been getting the minimum of workers comp and, if someone got the ticket I was hoping for and then tried to sell it to me or near me, someones teeth would be laying around like chicklets. Crutches can be weapons !! Hahahaha

Seriously though, there probably would be problems though I am not sure about the whole violence thing.

Think of it this way, by NOT taking a ticket you don't need or want, you ARE helping a family get something they might never have been able to afford otherwise. You are indeed the spirit of Christmas simply by walking away from the temptation.

Happy Gobble Gobble and Ho Ho Ho to you all.
