ButterBee Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Has anyone tryed buying BF items before hand, like now, and then getting price difference on that day? Was thinking about one of the laptops at BB for ds. THought about buying and then standing in line at return counter on BF to get price difference. I've done it on other items but not door busters on BF. Does it work?
Rebirth Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Well, Best Buy's customer service is closed from opening til Noon. However, the laptop won't be available for purchase at Best Buy right now anyway.
Dlan201 Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Actually, I went by Best Buy and they have the exact model in the ad out on display...I'm insanely tempted to try buying before and price matching, but I really don't want to get screwed out of 400 bucks.
cleverbffool Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 You can PM but I have been screwed over though, go to customer service and ask, get their name and then if you have a problem use it as ammo.
lindabacker Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 every one needs to pay attention to the fine print in the BB ad. It specifically says they will not price match those items
lindabacker Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 " Best Buy's price match policy does not apply to items in this ad and does not apply to previous purchases." This is located on page 23 of the PDF download in the red box next to Store hours and under the heading Shop Early. Apparently they caught on to the number of people doing this in the past.
ButterBee Posted November 11, 2006 Author Posted November 11, 2006 Thanks, Thought it would have been to simple to do that. I only read the listing and didn't look at the ad (fine print).
Demontooth Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 They used to let people do that but I guess they have cracked down.
tootsieroll23 Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 We have done this at Target. We go in and get what we want that is in the ad and then Friday we go in Target in the afternoon and get a price adjustment. We have done this the past 2 years I know.
sm1kla Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 I refuse to do returns or price adjustments on BF- If I know my kids want something I'll buy it at regular price, then again on BF. I'll return the one @ regular price later.

elena_398 Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 I went to TRU yesterday and looked at the Cinderella GBA game on sale and the Urban Reign PS2. Only 1 Cinderella game in stock right now and 3 Urban Reigns. They are regularly $14.99 each. Hope they stock up by BF
bigjimslade Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Bad News....I was just at a BB an hour ago and asked the manager about price matching on BF and they said that BB corp just revised there policy to put in a BF clause that will forbid people from price matching on BF. The manager showed me an email that was sent out from the VP of BB.
Christina2699 Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 what about buying it b4 hand then returning it and buying it again
Christina2699 Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Does anyone know if you can buy the ipod nano online for best buy and still get the free gift card and digital cam for the 250.00 purchase????????????
Josher5513 Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Does anyone know if you can buy the ipod nano online for best buy and still get the free gift card and digital cam for the 250.00 purchase????????????The ad says In-Store only..
badboy1072 Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 some stores say that but we know not all best buys go by that just like the pilot program they are doing in IL and iowa how many people know about that right now .... some stores are not eveing honering black friday national ads but rather giving you $10 for every hundred spent in gift cert. so if this store superviser dont keep to his word of honering my pre-purchase as he stated to me last night i will make a big seen in the store......lol ooh and by the way i was told the service desk will be open during the morning hours at least in my home store
bfdeals06 Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 Look at Page 19 of the scanned ad at the bottom, it talks about price guarantee..so i dont know which one is the right one..
H_Hancock Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 Look at Page 19 of the scanned ad at the bottom, it talks about price guarantee..so i dont know which one is the right one..Guess you missed the part in the section you talk about: "...does not apply to our free offers, limited-quantity items (which is darned near everything in the BF ad.....they almost all have a limited quantity of each item which is why they list a minimum number avail. at the store)...... For other exclusions, etc., etc." So, as I read this, the front page overrides anythign else, and even if it doesn't somehow, the limited-quantity clause covers pretty much everything else.
bfdeals06 Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 what a bummer..i really want that panasonic home theater system!
