amani Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 I have noticed a lot of toys that were marked down yesterday. And wanted to put them in lay away, but decided I should wait until next week, but now I think I should go now.

Good Idea...Layaway will be closing soon..Plus if the prices go down they will price match the stuff you have on layaway..correct???
Illinoismom Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Good Idea...Layaway will be closing soon..Plus if the prices go down they will price match the stuff you have on layaway..correct??? This is correct, Yesterday my Layaway went down 50.00 with price reductions on items that they had lowered
pogiporkchop Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Finally, a bright spot in my day! :) Do you think the ad itself is being released or just a few of the hot deals to get us all worked up?
vonnyb Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 That article is very interesting. Makes me wonder how different BF items will be from what they will have on the upcoming sale.
oscar1961 Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 I pickup my layaway save $25 from the lowering of prices :)
rogue1230 Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Anyone else think this will make the BF prices lower? They do such big busines to accomodate us wackos:tongue1: that I would think they would have to have even deeper BF blitzes to draw us in on that day? Or am I just wishful thinking?
macfamous Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Thanks for the info......I am going to put some items on layaway today.
RchristinaH Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 For the price reductions during layaway.. are they automatically reduced in the system? Or do you have to tell them you saw the item for a lower price?
masilke Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 For the price reductions during layaway.. are they automatically reduced in the system? Or do you have to tell them you saw the item for a lower price? My Walmart reduces automatically.HTH
tntfuller Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 It sounds like this article is referring to the November tab sales that start on Sunday because many of those prices are as hot as BF deals. My understanding from my ex (who is an assistant at WM) is that deals that resemble typical BF sales will continue throughout the holiday shopping season. He's been right so far, so we'll hope that continues!
cre8kos4u Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 I always tell thim they have it at a lower price to make sure they have adjusted it. 9 times out of 10, they had NOT done the adjustment. It's better to be safe than sorry, especially with layaway being phased out. Whose to say they will run the audits that adjust the prices when they go down. Make sure you check all the competitors ads as well because you can have your items pricematched while they are in layaway too.
my3bellas Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Has anyone gotten the walmart ad for Sunday November 5th? Walmarts site does not have it online like it use to. Thanks
Illinoismom Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Has anyone gotten the walmart ad for Sunday November 5th? Walmarts site does not have it online like it use to. Thankscame in the mail two days ago

Glitzy Nana Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 The Compaq Presario Laptop is $398 in the Branson, MO sales ad.
Deal Grabber Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Has anyone gotten the walmart ad for Sunday November 5th? Walmarts site does not have it online like it use to. ThanksIts on this site somewhere...
my3bellas Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 I found the posthttp://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=52522 I shop at walmart a lot. I can see the back of the building when the leaves fall. There is about 200 feet of woods between my house and building. When black friday is here, I also can see the shoppers lined up against the wall. I wave to them every year. :)
mexicnfmle Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 I got the flyer in the mail and mine shows the laptop at $598. I wonder if there is a way to get a different flyer?
parteejen Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 I live in Iowa and it's $398 here...Walmart.com finally has the "advertised values" back up, so you can check the flier for your area.
gregus28 Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Here's another exciting article from the Associated Press: Wal-Mart Outlook May Prompt Price Wars http://news.moneycentral.msn.com/provider/providerarticle.asp?Feed=AP&Date=20061103&ID=5985218

This BF should be interesting at Walmart. HMMMMMM maybe they will rethink the closing of layaway LOL:p
Trish1298 Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 So even though they are having all these sales through November, are they still having the huge BF sales, like normal?
oscar1961 Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 southern california I got my flyer laptop $398 im inline already *lol*
mcmc Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 So even though they are having all these sales through November, are they still having the huge BF sales, like normal? They do say there will be a blitz ad. Our electronics manager said that laptops will go even lower for Blitz.
RchristinaH Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Its on this site somewhere...I found the online ad this morning. Once you go to the site, in the top left-hand corner there is a section entitled 'Find A Store'. within that box there is a link that says 'Advertised Values'. Click on that link and then enter your zip code or click on the 'See your local ad' link. Hope this helps
tntfuller Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 So even though they are having all these sales through November, are they still having the huge BF sales, like normal? My understanding is YES! When I posted that thread about the early sales, I was a little nervous about how accurate my ex-husband's information would be. But, everything he told me a few weeks ago has now come true:yup: I'm still hearing that the BF ad will be as good as ever.
peachysquirt21 Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 They do say there will be a blitz ad. Our electronics manager said that laptops will go even lower for Blitz. That's the case, I think Walmart is gonna be very dangerous going too this year. LOL
kari2042 Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Make sure to check all walmarts around your area. I went on line to check my location and it was the same as I received at home. But I checked one that is in a major city 40 minutes from me and some of the toys are priced lower. And the toys selection is also not the same. My as had one page of toys that the other store didn't. Example - Kids Zebra Bouncer 39.88 and it was 34.99 at the other location.
