neile457
Would it be worth buying something on the ad, and then getting a refund on Black Friday to make up the difference? I know that all the electronic chains price match and usually beat the price if you find it cheaper within 30 days.
bayhaysay
The thing is, alot of blitz items will have a different UPC code so that they're not the EXACT item you're trying to PM. Or it will be bundled with something...or have some other little thing that will disqualify you from pm'ing.
Rebirth
The customer service is usually closed from opening to noon for most stores.
madison66
What you sometimes find is that the items in the store now are different from those special offers they showcase on Black Friday. So, therefore, you wouldn’t necessarily be able to return and repurchase, unless the item is the same make, model, etc. Special Black Friday offers such as Televisions, stereos, computers (the features) and cameras tend to be different versus regular store stock. sleepyshopper
Personally I would not chance it....Alot of places will not price match during the "Blitz" times and then when they do open after the "blitz" ended....They will tell you that they will not PM because the sale is over. Then you are stuck.
bayhaysay
I'll tell you what I'm considering doing. There are a couple of toys (one being the fp camera) that I will probably go ahead and get, save my reciept, then if I get one on BF I'll just return the first one. Don't wait if it is a must have b/c you may not be able to find it after the sales start and you will be sweating it trying to get your hands on it b4 Christmas
Mugglemom
I did this once last year at Target. My son only asked for one thing, the Millenium Falcon Lego set. It was reg. $99 at Target, I saw the BF add early that it was going to be $49. I went the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and bought it reg. price. Then on Saturday after Thanksgiving, I strolled into Target, and it took me all of 3 minutes to get the $50 credited to my cc. BUT>>> Target is one of the places that does NOT have doorbusters, their sale is a two-day sale. So as long as you return before next sale starts, you are safe. I would go for one of those type of sales before I waste time on BF morning trying to price match. Time is precious that day!
tlm2121
if you see it on sale somewhere and are there early enough the easiest thing to do is buy one at BF price and then return the other one a few days later when it is not so hectic - i agree waiting in line to pricematch that day is a pain and sometimes trying to get an adjustment is a pain too - easier just to return the other for your money back

I know that all the electronic chains price match and usually beat the price if you find it cheaper within 30 days.I was thinking about doing the same with the digital camera I am planning on purchasing. Buy it before Thanksgiving and get a price adjustment on BF. My BB will not do any price matching on BF. This would be my first BF and I am a little scared after reading all the stories so I am trying to go around it somehow.
Trish1298
Yep, I have bought a GBAdvance SP and am hoping for a good sale on them on BF, so I can take the one I have back to the store.
