BirdFur Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 Seemingly, it's a perpetual coupon. It updates automatically, so you can always have one available. This is going in my bookmarks.
jeninpa Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 Thanks! We just got one of these at our local mall and I thought the prices were pretty good. This makes it even better, especially when my 7 yr old just informed me tonight that she wants alot of books for Christmas, lol.
BirdFur Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 I'm so glad she wants books! Kids don't read enough these days.
nannyhipster Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 I will have to remember this link..we go twice or more a month with the kids as an outing...this is going to save me lots... BTW...the coupon I just printed expires on 12/11 Thanks so much

labgeek Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 cool, vistied the link and it's updated, anyone know if this is a for real coupon?I've gotten several 30% coupons from them lately in email -- join the Borders Rewards program it's free. And last Tuesday was a 1 day Only 40% off coupon. Also watch here: http://www.bordersstores.com/features/feature.jsp?file=coupons
preacherswife2 Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 this link also works for a coupon to print for 30%off one item over $10.00. I have used this and you can print it more than once and use it, I just had three orders and the girl took the coupon on each one, no problem! http://www.visitborders.com/ sorry I cannot paste the link you will have to copy and paste:(
caramel Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 There's also a coupon inside of the NY Times! There's a nice little 40% off bestsellers sale until MONDAY so you will be getting the book for 70% off cover price!!!!!!!!! I will be printing more than one so I can get more than one book.

labgeek Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 Should've been more than that...http://www.bordersstores.com/spoffers/special_offers.jsp 30% Off Borders Hardcover Bestsellers Every DayTitles subject to change. Offer valid in stores only.
ftrainline Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 You can not combine discounts. No 70% off! If a book is already 30% off, the coupon will tack on the other 10%.
fairydustcrissy Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 Should've been more than that...http://www.bordersstores.com/spoffers/special_offers.jspugh! Oh well, I was planning on taking it back to use the 30% coupon anyways, so i will do that. The book was $19.99, rang up $$19.98 or so, so even if its just another 20% instead of the full 30, it will be a few dollars.
caramel Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 You can not combine discounts. No 70% off! If a book is already 30% off, the coupon will tack on the other 10%.Yeah I learned that the hard way. I just went to the Borders on Hulen in Fort Worth to get the new Barack Obama book and was told the same thing. Bummer since my sister in NYC got the book for $13.05 after letting her use the coupon and tax. She had to coerce the cashier to add the 30% coupon but it worked. I told her to get one for me as well so she's going back tomorrow to see if the cashier will do it again.

Conan-kun Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 I work at Borders. The only discount that will stack is the Personal Shopping Day (10% off the subtotal), and that is for Borders Rewards members only (free to join but you have to earn the PSD). There is going to be a pretty good DVD coupon coming this week. I'd keep my eyes open for it.
BirdFur Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 I used the 30% off coupon recently. I also signed up for the Rewards Card-free. I asked specifically if I could use the points online, and the cashier said yes. I also got another 30% off coupon with my receipt.

You can check on how many points you have online but you can't use them online. The cashier either didn't understand your question or just didn't know From the FAQ section of bordersrewards.com (notice bordersrewards, there's a bordersreward.com which has nothing to do with the actual company) Q: Can I earn or redeem rewards with purchases made at www.borders.com or www.waldenbooks.com? A: Not at this time. Rewards currently can be earned and redeemed only at our physical stores.
dpape Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Thanks for the coupon. The cashier let me stack with my personal shopping holiday and my holiday rewards. DVD - $29.99 (was on sale for 22.99, but they start at full-price) 30% off - 20.99 10% off - 18.89 Holiday Rewards - 18.23 Total cost - 0.66 EXCELLENT deal!
Guest keco88 Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 A great last minute gift at Border's. A Beauty "Buyble". Twenty bucks filled with best beauty deals book and a TON of free beauty samples. I got one for myself, would be a great stocking stuffer/co-worker/teacher present. And with the thirty percent off, it's only like 15 dollars!!
