RossMAN Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Has anyone considered starting their own gift wrapping service? You could really make some $$$ on BF and just before Christmas.
vonnyb Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 I don't have a set time when I wrap, but normally when I wrap I try to do it all at once. I usually wrapping as I am listening to my Christmas CD's.
shopping mom Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Has anyone considered starting their own gift wrapping service? snakeswiff Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 I wrap as soon as I get home! I am still pumped over the shopping and the deals and am so in a Christmas mood, that I just go with it and get the wrapping done!
nitstalker Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Christmas Eve... Stay up half the night doing it... I dont worry about how it looks, I just throw the paper on it... Kids dont care :)
elena_398 Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 I wrap early, usually within a week of BF. Prefer to get it out of the way as I hate to do it.
pmdemey Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 After I get home. I pop in Christmas Vacation have leftovers and wrap presents. It`s awesome!
mom395222 Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 I actually do Christmas shopping an wrapping for people, I started with a relative who asked me, and from there it's been word of mouth. I also do cleaning, so I'm getting ready to advertise in the paper, that I will do cleaning, and that I'm also available for Christmas shopping and wrapping, and errands. Just run an ad!
mom395222 Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Oh, and I wrap the last possible week my kids are in school before Christmas break...if I do it any sooner, I forget what I got:cheesy:
ms_mckenna Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 I usually rest then wrap anything that is a BIG item for the kids. As far as the rest of it I leave it bagged till I am completely done. If not I forget what I bought and I can't compare to make sure they are getting the same amount. ; ) I did try a master list once but they found it.
hope1976 Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 We put our stuff on layaway at Walmart, and wait until the last minute to get it off due to 3 kids (nosy nosy kids LOL). Then I always wrap them right away and hide them in a huge box
Tara3117 Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 Every year I swear I'm going to wrap them on BF when I get home. And every year, I'm up early Christmas morning, wrapping just the ones that need to go under the tree NOW! I'm a bad wrapping planner.
jennypoo3016 Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 well if im not tired ill start that day but usually im tired so through out the month i do it when i have time......
SuperMommy Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 I usually wrap them that weekend, either Saturday or Sunday.
caegbert Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 i wrap within a day or 2 of purchases unless my husband is unhappy with something i bought then i wait until i have persuaded him i was right and then wrap it !
Turtle Mommy Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 I usually spread it out the first few weeks in December. One year I waited and had a ton of stuff to wrap 2 days before Christmas and I vowed NEVER to do that again!
peachysquirt21 Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 I always start wrapping on BF when I get home. We have our tree up usually so they get wrapped & put under the tree. I love to wrap presents. Except for those odd shape ones. I usually put those in gift bags. LOL
Bestbuy7 Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 Last minute shopper , so day after christmas.
guilliam Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 First I try to get my husband to wrap all the gifts, I mean it's only fair, I do all the shopping he can do the wrapping!:)LOL! I Hate to wrap, ugh! If all else fails, I wrap everything Xmas eve!
jellybean051901 Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Good question and where would you setup shop? If it's inside the mall or store you their permission and possibly a business license. The only problem with the mall is that all of them around me already have gift wrapping service
colelane2001 Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 I hide all the gifts at my moms until 2-3 days before Christmas. Then she and I make a night of wrapping all the gifts. If I kept them in my house, the kids would find them.
cirwin Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 I get my husband to take the kids out for the day, set up my wrapping in the family room and watch my corny Christmas movies while wrapping gifts. You know the ones, Christmas Vacation,The Christmas Story, etc...
pogiporkchop Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 I'm usually up until 3am Christmas morning, watching movies and wrapping as quietly as possible. I also set up the kids' trees (they each have a small tabletop tree and get a new ornament each year) at that time so they don't get after the ornaments. Makes for a great surprise when they wake up.
sleepyshopper Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 The kids and I usually try to wrap some of them after I return home on BF....What doesn't get done that day and their presents usually don't end up getting wrapped until days or sometimes even hours before Christmas....LOL!!
mccabefamily29 Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 A week or two before Christmas I start.
Christy Garner Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 I usually do not wrap my BF purchases BF weekend, way too much going on. I usually wait until the next weekend when i go in my bedroom, shut the door and have a wrapping party.
elena_398 Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 I've already bought 75% of my kids christmas gifts. If I had christmas tags, I'd get it out of the way now. Everything is hidden in my garage shelves and in 2 huge contractor bags. Too easy for nosey kids to peek into
