Ads - where are they?

I’m sure it’s not later than usual but, where are they? I’m getting anxious and really want to know what I’m shopping for.

It's not later than usual, as you said. We actually have a few more ads now than we did at this point last year.

 

Really the only ad we had at this point (13 days before BF) last year that we don't this year is Staples.

It just seems like the ads are later because they are having so many pre Black Friday sales it seems like the Black Friday sales ads should be out so you can compare prices and decide if you should buy the items this time or wait .

Black Friday being on the 29th vs the 24th last year also makes things seem like they are behind.

It just seems to be taking forever but, this week we should start seeing them I would think since a lot of places start their online sales Monday or well at least Walmart starts Monday I believe

Target should have their ad out Thursday night. Walmart should post their BF week deals on Thursday morning (with a smaller preview tomorrow possibly).

I hope to see a preview tomorrow. But I guess I can wait until Thursday if I have too. Lol

Same. I just saw the preview and nothing mentioned on my list so here is hoping that changes once the full ad is released

I still would prefer paper ads. Easier to lay them out and compare deals.

Last year there were no ads in our papers. I hope this year goes back to having the ads!

Definitely miss the paper ads and miss seeing a photo pic or pdf of the physical ad leaked on here.

I miss having a finite list of items that we could type up each year and utilize a search feature across the ads to compare items. Now, it spans 7 weeks and 10,000 items that is just unreasonable to manage/follow the items and the sale intervals.

Yes the old boards where we could filter searches and stuff. I would make a binder with the stores and items I needed to get. Now its a crap shot.

It’s not the old boards, it’s the massive amount of sales they are having every week for many weeks and not really releasing ads.

Yeah. I think when the kids were old enough to go they were as excited about Black Friday as I was. We would look through all the ads that came in the Thanksgiving Day paper after lunch and plan out strategy for Black Friday. We took the ads with similar door busters and ones for stores we knew we would go to with us to look for different stores if we didn't get the door buster of choice. We scored a laptop one year by going to a store with fewer popular deals that opened an hour later than our choice. Fun times.

Since my mom doesn’t get out to shop much due to her healthI will buy a paper on Thanksgiving so she can look at the ads. Her newspaper will have them. She can peruse with her great grandkids. It will make her happy.

Our paper doesn't have many ads any more. I like having paper copies of the ads.

Are we still expecting Lowe's or did they do away with their sale? I see there's an early Black Friday sale on their website  Was hoping somewhere would have poinsettia's for mom

Yes, Home Depot or Lowes is where I go every year for my poinsettias. Best price

I'm waiting on HD, Lowe's, Menards, and Sam's Club... Crazy, with some sales already starting.
