wittenlover Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Started the week with the news this morning that a dear friend has passed away. She's been in hospice at home for the last couple of weeks. She was like a mom/grandma to me, as she was roughly my dad's age (80+) so, while not a shock, still a loss. Doubt very seriously that we have enough room in our church to hold all the folks that loved her dearly. As I told another of our friends when we got the news today, that is a great "problem" to have (to be that loved). Her name was Linda. I was blessed to call her a friend for over 25 years. 6

Saying a prayer for your dear friend. What a blessing though, to be so loved. She must have been a very special person. 2

packratfamily Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Also checking in for April. Spring has certainly sprung here. Think I will celebrate No Mow May except an a space by the street! (Golden rod and milk weed are not weeds.) luckily- NO HOA 1 1
wittenlover Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Anyone else have "fun" trying to get a Switch 2 preordered last night/today online? I tried to grab one on Best Buy site last night but got white screened when I reached the "front" of the line the first time and they were gone by the time I got back to the front of the line the second time. Oof. Accomplished in-person pre-order at my local GameStop on my lunch break today. The location I went to had 45 total pre-orders available, 30-ish MK World bundles, the rest plain consoles. I missed the bundle by a few people but got a plain console and went ahead and ordered the physical copy of MK World to go with it. Once mine was reserved, only three plain console preorders remained. Crazy.

Wanna trade? 1

HomeinKS Posted Monday at 03:26 AM Posted Monday at 03:26 AM I like the idea of no mow May, but probably not a good idea given all the rain this past week.

Bopeep Posted Tuesday at 08:30 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:30 PM We managed to get 1 mow in a couple weeks ago. As much rain as we've had though, by the time we can mow again we are going to need a brush hog. I was wondering earlier if they make a pontoon lawn mower, LOL. 3
bribri25 Posted Tuesday at 11:45 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:45 PM (edited) Good thing April has more than 28 days.... Edited Tuesday at 11:46 PM by bribri25
Kanyon71 Posted Wednesday at 01:21 AM Posted Wednesday at 01:21 AM I’d love no mow may. Biggest issues are snakes and HOA. Not sure which I detest more. Just being back in an annoying one has already made us discuss buying a few acres and building again. 2 1
wittenlover Posted Wednesday at 02:48 PM Posted Wednesday at 02:48 PM At this rate, I'd need a full on brush mower if I did a no-mow May... The dandelions are as big as my cats already! 2

The dandelions are as big as my cats already! Last year I had to hire True Green there, the dandelions were out of hand and I could not get rid of them or the weeds from them. Once they were out a few times the yard cleared up just enough for me to sell and leave. I had to hire someone to come mow my yard here. I've not had the time or inclination to buy a mower lol 1

Brad Posted Thursday at 12:59 PM Author Posted Thursday at 12:59 PM We didn't lose anyone in April. Still at 40 members. 4 1

Yes I know the feeling. My wife wants to rip out these bushes that are in the middle of our front yard and replace with flowers and some boulders. Have to get HOA approval. We are going to add stairs to our back deck. Have to get HOA approval. We are going to repaint the outside of the house, have to get approval and the house can’t be the same color as any other houses within 5 houses of us in all directions. It’s a ton of houses because we are on a corner. Insanity. Happy May all. 2
