Kanyon71 Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 Since it’s part of the season now, does anyone do cool Halloween decorations? Let’s see your setup. We are moving this week so we won’t do much decorating.
freesia39 Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 Please tell me someone here as the 12 foot skeleton from home depot. I love him. 2 1
Bopeep Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 I love seeing big Halloween displays. There a couple houses in my small town that really go all out. Unfortunately, I don't have enough storage space for decorations for anything but Christmas (and even that is not a big outdoor display) :). I agree Freesia, I LOVE the 12 ft skeleton! 1

stevierocks Posted October 31, 2024 Posted October 31, 2024 My favorite was a pallet we buried with a skeleton under it . 1

I had a pallet, I built a lighting system and made a light show that resembled flames and fire, put it inside the pallet, put a smoke tube under that, put fake hands coming up through the openings in the pallet and then used leaves and stuff around the pallet to hide the edges and stuff. Made a small sign that said Pit To Hell. 1
wittenlover Posted October 31, 2024 Posted October 31, 2024 Pretty basic but a fun little look to my house for tonight’s roaming hordes of candy raiders. lol 3 1
Kanyon71 Posted November 1, 2024 Author Posted November 1, 2024 Well now we know we need lots more candy for next year. Ram out an hour before it was to end here lol.

I had hordes of marauding kids last year so I bought more this year after almost running out last year. Ended up with leftovers but far better than having to "ration" it out like I did last year to make it last. Coworkers are reaping the benefits for the next few days. lol

The glee from the kids when they realize it is worth the added cost. 1
bluebear Posted November 1, 2024 Posted November 1, 2024 We had 22 trick-or-treaters this year. About what I was expecting. And I bought 2 big bags of candy for a total of 320 pieces for some reason. The leftovers will go to Relay for Life to hand out at the city Christmas parade. We have a walkway across the front of the house, so it's a bit of a walk. So the last couple of years we have sat in the driveway. We'll bring the inflatable Hello Kitty skeleton, and a couple of light up pumpkins. My favorite halloween decorations that we have are light up faces for the trees. We have woods on the side of the house, so I'll stick them in there. Not sure anyone else likes them, but it just tickles me to death! I keep them on all night, so I get to see them when I leave in the morning. And of course, my Geese Henry and Liza are dressed up for Halloween! 2 1
