Happy November.

2 weeks left for unemployment and still haven't found a job. Sucks being in my early 60's and starting over. Everything is seasonal now and will only last till Christmas 😮‍💨

My seasonal side gig I took on in 2019 turned into 5 years and counting. Seasonal isn't always short term... That said, that is rough. Maybe grab a seasonal something or another while you continue to look for something more long term... I wish you the best of luck on your search. 🤞

Well, it's finally winter here in AZ. One of only two seasons we have. Counting down to Thanksgiving, Black Friday week, Cyber Monday, then Christmas.

still unseasonably warm here, still having health issues and still unemployed.      Boy do I ever sound like a broken record this year.

On the flip side, I'm really Looking forward to shopping for my Secret Santa!

Not really in the mood for Black Friday yet.  A little too overwhelmed with life to relax and plan an assault on the retail industry at this time.  My remedy is the kitchen and I have been in the kitchen since dawn with breaks to strip my garden of all dignity.  In the background, I have been enjoying 'guilty pleasure' movies.  Right now, I am watching 'The Blues Brothers'.  I probably have it on disc or in my Plex library, but I am watching on Pluto TV.  So, you can too.

If you have never watched this gem, click the link and you're welcome.  If you have seen it and cannot remember why you should see it again, let me help.  "Joliet" Jake and his brother, Elwood were a staple Saturday Night Live skit when SNL was funny.  All the magic of those skits have been jammed into the concert scene.  The cast includes John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, James Brown, Cab Calloway, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Carrie Fisher, John Candy, Twiggy, Steve Lawrence, and Frank Oz.  If you are not smiling, move along.

Enjoy!

Happy November!

Our trees finally started turning this week, so it's looking like fall.

We also have some possibilities of rain later this week, so that's good news since we haven't had any rain in over 5 weeks!

The prize club ends in October each year so I'm going to close this thread. Look for the 2025 thread soon...
