Rebirth Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Source? It's very early for ads. They could still change it since they have over 3 months.
kmbrly Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 I can't imagine anyone having access to any of the ads, even employees. I think someone is just pulling your chain.
biomajor Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Hope it's true. I need a 12" bike and a rotary tool
elite2058 Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 I went for the 12" bikes at Meijers last year and the line was huge and they ran out before a lot of people got them. Hopefully, this ad is true.
Gator Pam Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Just curious if anyone compared it to last year's ad?
RossMAN Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Just curious if anyone compared it to last year's ad?You can see for yourself, 2005 Ace Hardware BF ad
Gator Pam Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 You can see for yourself, 2005 Ace Hardware BF adOh, I know that. Just too lazy to do it myself this early.
EliteABombAZ Posted August 6, 2006 Author Posted August 6, 2006 Source? It's very early for ads. They could still change it since they have over 3 months.I agree it is kind of early... and the source isn't very reliable... but I just thought I'd post it here... cause when BF approches, GottaDeal is the site I hang out at... I got it on the forums from a site that I googled.
Brad Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 This was posted about 2 months ago as well. Probably too early to take it seriously just yet.
sugarkristals Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 I like the little $1.99 Crockpot dipper... So adorable.
mom2five Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 The info that is posted for ACE Hardware is accurate. The ads for the black friday have already been printed and the individual stores have these items ordered already. Employees could have access to this inof as all the ACE store owners have had the copy of the black friday ad on their desks months ago. If they have shared the ad with employees, or left the ad out in the open, the info is out there. I have seen the ad myself and have put the MP3 Player and the Video Camera on my Christmas Wish List this year. At least two of my kids will be receiving the bikes. I would advise being there early as it's up to the individual owners as to how many of each item they order. The stores make no money on these promo items, so it's not to their advantage to order large quantities. Plus, the warehouse doesn't always have large quantities available either. Hope this clears a few things up so you canstart planning early.

Guest bryan1090 Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 I can tell that ad listed is 110% true. bikes are very limited and they are offering the same dvd player portable but I think 10 buck cheaper... Mp3 player is nice too 5 gig at 100 bucks is awesome. also stanley hand tools after rebate 1.99. consider this info a shingle, its on the house :)
Guest no1dtngfan Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 All of this is fake... the ads aren't even finished until October
momof2many Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 I'm very weary of the idea of something being shown at this point. Still way early...
JBKing Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Gotta wonder about two new members vouching for this ad with their very first post.
femalesliealot Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Gotta wonder about two new members vouching for this ad with their very first post. I was thinking the same thing!
Guest bryan1090 Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 All of this is fake... the ads aren't even finished until OctoberWell the ad merchandise was ordered back in June. Do you think in October the stores start to plan the one day sale. I think not
Rockfordmom Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 I would advise being there early I didn't know that I had to get up early to buy things on Black Friday:sidesplit
Guest bryan1090 Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Gotta wonder about two new members vouching for this ad with their very first post. JBKing I am ready to place a little wager, oh heck a big wager on this ad. Are you ready to put your money where your mouth is. Someone got called out now lets see, the ball is in your court. Oh yea I do not appreciate the attack

Mike Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Someone that isn't on a corporate level would not have access to these.
Gurnee Al Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 I guess we'll all find out soon enough. After reading these posts, I'm more anxious to see the Ace ad than the Best Buy ad!
tootsieroll23 Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 I guess we'll all find out soon enough. After reading these posts, I'm more anxious to see the Ace ad than the Best Buy ad!Yeah me to just to see if it is real or not. If it's real though I won't be standing in line for anything I will be at either Staples or our new Best Buy, but hey thanks for the post anyway.
darianwiccan Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 This is not good. For an ad to come out this early? NO!!!! Now, here I sit at work, thinking of the possible deals, and that BF is still 13 weeks and 2 days away! (
momof2many Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 omg... We only have 13 weeks??? MUST start saving now! LOL
darianwiccan Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 There might not be an ad scan yet. I remember a lot of deals that were listed for last year, and ended up being true, we simply had to wait for someone to actually get their hands on the ad. Besides, even if these end up being fakes, there were only a few decent items in the list, and it's got us all thinking about BF.
hippie134 Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 I don't if it applies to this store, but I have a friend from HS who works for Menards (at their main office). I know that they already have the BF sales planned and the items ordered. This has been planned at least since June, because he mentioned he thought this was really early to start planning. I asked for insider-info, but he won't tell.
