RossMAN Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 This is only available at your local Best Buy store, here is a link for reference, specs and model number. Is this a hot deal or should I wait until Black Friday? I'm glad that you asked. Do you feel like waiting 4 months and freezing your #@! off standing in line for 10 hours? I didn't think so. http://images.bestbuy.com/BestBuy_US/images/products/7636/7636034_sa.jpg This is very hot for a few different reasons:Under $200 for a 19" LCD widescreen, enough said. This offers both analog and digital (DVI) connections, however a DVI cable is not included.Available at your local BB which means instant gratification, assuming of course it's in stock. No rebate hassles.because RossMAN said so.
biomajor Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 Damn! I bought this 2 weeks ago at $179--time to look on the receipt and see if they do price adjustments!! Oh it's a beautiful monitor too!!
CindyIUP Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 I saw this in my BB ad and was wondering about the quality . . . thanks for the info!! I'm going to see if my local BB has it today!!
JBKing Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 Very tempting. Bought a 17" Viewsonic at Office Depot last weekend for $139 after rebate. $20 more for a 19" with no rebate? That's a no brainer!
RossMAN Posted July 31, 2006 Author Posted July 31, 2006 Very tempting. Bought a 17" Viewsonic at Office Depot last weekend for $139 after rebate. $20 more for a 19" with no rebate? That's a no brainer! What are the ViewSonic specs, does it offer DVI and is the warranty 1 or 3 years?
JBKing Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 No DVI, but not needed on DS's PC. 1 year warranty. Not the best, but thought it was a good deal at the time. http://www.officedepot.com/ddSKU.do?level=SK&id=673538&N=200635&An=browse
JBKing Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Naturally, our Best Buy was already out of this model, and the 19" 4X3 aspect ratio ($179 no rebate) was out also. I did get a raincheck for the 4X3 model.
BobbyDouglas Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 I did get a raincheck for the 4X3 model.- Our BB said they dont do rainchecks
JBKing Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 That's what I've always been told in the past. I doubt it makes a difference, but this is a new store I tried, maybe the employees just don't know better.
Gator Pam Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 What type of slip of paper did they give you for a raincheck?
siageah Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 We received a raincheck for the sale widescreen model too. It was a computer print out. Originally the guy said he couldn't do one, but then tried the computer and was surprised when it let him enter a raincheck in.
JBKing Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 I checked the BB ad, on the inside back page, it says 'unless specified, rain checks are available' or words to that effect. I guess before, my items have always been the exception, or the clerk never wanted to mess with it. It is a computer printout as siageah said, with "Best Buy Raincheck" in big bold letters at the top. I could have paid that night, but I choose to wait for the monitor to come in.
