JBKing
When is the best time to buy a laptop - (1) back to school sales or (2) Black Friday?
icanhabsum
I think its both...this deal is very similar to a BF deal on a compaq. I bought this @ 1pm (and they're still in stock @ the store I vistied) and didn't have to wait in line. BF on the other hand I had to get up very early and wait in a long line. Good deals can always be had. I think BF this year would be an excellent time as well as now. Who knows maybe you can pick up a Core Duo on BF 2k6

mstacks
That's a 400 outlay and no waaaiitttting forever for a rebate that may or may not show. I like! I just hope it's still available when I go to town tomorrow.

I just hope it's still available when I go to town tomorrow. It's a $200 instant rebate which basically means discount. So the price is $399 out the door :)
icanhabsum
well today was a sad day, as the dv1000 hotness touchpad/mouse buttons decided to die (uninstalled, reinstalled, upgraded drivers, etc would not come back to life) went to best buy and returned with no lappy. Such is life... heres to hoping for new deals.
