Brad
A visitor e-mailed us with CompUSA's sales - both pre-BF and BF. Here is the pre-BF sale info. I will add the BF info to the database very shortly. Please note the dates and the price information below: -- Prices shown are what you'll pay in the store. Rebate amounts follow. Brad
I linked as many of the CompUSA items to the web site as I could find. CompUSA usually has several of the items available on the web site as well.
IP Freely
A couple of questions: Are these CompUsa rebates or manufacturer rebates? Brad
The person that e-mailed to me lists them as MMIR, which I assume means manufacturer mail-in rebates, but I don't know if that is really the case. We won't know until we get the actual ad, and even that probably won't say either way.
elena_398
shoot, there is some stuff my hubby wants, but no CompUSA around me. Closest I found from the web site was in Fairlawn, 32 miles from me. All well
Dust N Bones
I hate compusa. Every time I've ever tried to buy something there they have nagged about purchasing an extended warranty. Like non stop. If the first salesman doesn't convince me then he sends another person over to try and convince me to get the warranty. I was told recently that the sales person doesn't get comission unless they sell an extended warranty with any item over $100.
dolan007
Personally I love CompUsa. I've always gotten all my rebates back. Rules are to photocopy all your info, UPC etc. Write down all the info about mailing address and tel. # on rebates. Some rebates you do online. All has been good and I am going to try to get the $1499 plasma this year

gordita
which is the $1499 Plasma TV on BF ? is it the Daewoo?
Brad
The ad says "model varies by store" so it's probably a really cheap model they got for BF only.

MisterBill
A couple of questions: Are these CompUsa rebates or manufacturer rebates? I have been told to stay away from CompUsa rebates because many people have had problems getting their rebates.People who complain about CompUSA rebates have not done them in a long time and are reporting based on bad experiences they had when TCA was handling them (and CompUSA was paying them slowly). I did some CompUSA funded rebates a few months ago at web-rebates.com (Mesa, AZ) and got paid very quickly. Now, the problem is, most of these are likely manufacturer's rebates, and on those, it's pot luck because each manufacturer is different, and some are very good, but many are very bad. Jaidensmom
I'm dying right now! Compusa has 10gig ipods for sale for 129.00...YES thats right I said 129.00!!! PICK UP ONLY!!!!! Arghhh there are no compusa stores anywhere near me. I checked availability for any friends or family I knew out of state and couldn't find a store that had them in stock. If anyone does happen to find one in stock somewhere give me a shout. I am just sick over this , it would have made christmas awesome here....damn them! Brad
Yeah I saw that iPod deal yesterday. None around me either. Would have been nice - 10GB is the perfect capacity for what I need.
Jaidensmom
LOL I'm glad I'm not the only one who was drooling over this deal. I was even hoping I might be able to get some store to pm that but I've got no clue who would have a 10 gig in stock. Got any ideas Brad? Anybody here a expert Pm 'er? PS: Brad did you also see the 15 gig for 179.00? You might get lucky and find one in stock.
MisterBill
So, since CompUSA will hold in-store pickup orders for 72 hours, if I were to place an order now for one of the Wednesday 4pm FAR's, it should still be there waiting for me when I get there on Wednesday, right? Knowing CompUSA, I think the odds of anyone getting around to reshelving the item early is kind of slim... ..although the manager who pulled my last item might not be thrilled to see my name again since I told him off last week, after I showed up to pick up my item and had to wait for 10 minutes while some salesperson was giving a sales pitch on the benefits of a wireless network in the middle of a transaction at the pick-up desk (where he shouldn't have been to begin with). No one bothered to offer to help me even though there were people standing around while I was waiting. I finally found another copy of the program that I ordered on the shelf (with CompUSA you don't actually get charged until you pick it up so if you don't pick it up, it's no big deal) and bought it at a regular cashier, after which I found the manager and told him off :-). Conscript
Wacky, I think that 42" Plasma is going to be the Daewoo just because thats the cheapest 42" plasma they have now. That means its more releastic they drop the price on it just a little more than on another one more steeply.

Conscript
Yeah, I guess a new model we're not aware of for BF only makes more sense in that case.
