kimpooh19 Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 Do you have a theme or do you prefer a random sort of tree? Let us know! Or better yet, share a picture of what you do.
Suzy Crampton Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 I always call ours a Memory tree. Each ornament means something to us, a certain time in our kids lives (like when our son was obsessed with Woody from Toy Story!), places we've been or things we all like, our pets (past and present). 5
tracy0504 Posted November 2, 2021 Posted November 2, 2021 I don’t have a theme, but I do have to buy all new ornaments since mine were left behind in the move [emoji24] 1
magickallight Posted November 2, 2021 Posted November 2, 2021 Eclectic - I have ornaments from when I was a kid, all of my kids yearly ornaments for the past 39 years and many miscellaneous ones that I have added and collected throughout the years. It is a tree of memories - and that suits me just fine. 2
ilikefree Posted November 2, 2021 Posted November 2, 2021 I don't normally do a theme. When my boys were growing up, I would buy them each an ornament every year that had something to do with what they were into that year...Bert & Ernie, Toy Story, Godzilla, band, etc. Since our older son bought a house and moved away I gave him all his ornaments to go on his tree. Since then I've just done blue & silver decorations. This year I think I want to do a beach theme. 1
asenap01 Posted November 2, 2021 Posted November 2, 2021 I will put up 3 trees, Disney, Grinch and a traditional eclectic trees 2
Coastiwife Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 This year we will have our usual family tree of anything goes. I think I finally have enough hallmark ornaments to do a hallmark tree this year too. 2
Elmck Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 Mine is eclectic too. I have ornaments from the 38 years we’ve been married. I do collect mice ornaments. Something my kids started years ago. My youngest daughter has a Disney ornament tree in her room . I missed the sale on these last year so I owe her 2 this year!!! 1
HanShotFirst Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 This year we will have our usual family tree of anything goes. I think I finally have enough hallmark ornaments to do a hallmark tree this year too.I have waaaaaay too many Hallmark ornaments. All of my snowmen ornaments are Hallmark. 2
stewarta4 Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 mostly red/green with a bit of "farmhouse" added in...also some random sentimental ornaments added in. 1
dakotadenise Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 My tree is decorated with all the ornaments my kids have made growing up. A few special ones commemorating big events or lost love ones also. I have a string of singing lights that I always use, and my angel tree topper was my grandma's.
budgetsRsexy Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 Normally my tree is a bunch of ornaments from my youth and then the ones I have purchased with my husband as vacation souvenirs. This year though we are not doing our normal memories tree. We adopted a rescue dog recently and I don’t want to risk the special ornaments in case she doesn’t do well around the tree. This year we are just using red and silver standard ornaments (I originally got them ages ago when our first dog was a puppy and we were worried about the tree then too).
Bopeep Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 For years, everything on my tree and all of my in house decorations (except the Nativity) were Western. I had cowboy Santas everywhere! LOL. I still love the cowboy stuff, but I slowly moved away from all of it, starting a few years ago. Now it's just "Christmas". I do love the buffalo plaid and burlap. So there's quite a bit of that sprinkled throughout. 1
stevierocks Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 my tree would be a joke. all mixed up. no theme.
Rnoski Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 I have enough hallmark cars trucks n Harley Davidson motorcycle ornaments for an entire tree. My grandmother worked at hallmark shop and started my collection over 30 years ago
