Brad
Kohl's wanted us to pass this announcement along:"Beginning 9/30/2020, Kohl’s Cash will no longer be earned on $48+ transactions. Customers will need to spend $50 to earn their $10 of Kohl’s Cash. That continues into all higher tiers, instead of $98, customers will need to spend $100." -- In the past if you were within $2 of the Kohl's Cash threshold (on Kohls.com) they'd give it to you anyway but now they are going to be more strict. So you may need to start adding a cheap filler item if your total is something like $49.99. Luckily Kohl's usually has a lot of cheap under $2 items on their site.

Jeanne515
Ok new to the Kohl's game. We don't have one anywhere close by but I was approved for a Kohl's card yesterday. I saw where they had the Barbie dreamhouse for $199 with $60 Kohl's cash back. Does it make it a good deal? Does Kohl's cash spend like regular cash or does it have lots of exclusions? I was thinking I could spend the $60 on her some clothes for Christmas. Or should I try to find the dreamhouse cheaper elsewhere (Sam's Club has it for $175 now)?

Yes, the kohls cash spends just like regular cash and you can buy whatever you would like. The only catch is that it can expire.

Or should I try to find the dreamhouse cheaper elsewhere (Sam's Club has it for $175 now)? You can use Kohl's Cash to pay for pretty much anything. The main "catch" with it is that they take the Kohl's cash off your total before applying any discount codes you might have. So to maximize the value of the Kohl's Cash, it's best to use it either during sales that don't have any coupon discounts (like the current sale) or on categories or brands that aren't eligible for coupons anyway (toys, electronics, team fan gear, many name brands such as Nike, Adidas, KitchenAid, Dyson, etc.). But you can still use it for clothes like you want. Also, if you are going to buy the Dreamhouse, also make sure you are signed up for the Kohl's Rewards program. During this sale, Kohl's charge cardholders get 3x rewards which comes out to 15%. So you'd get the regular Kohl's Cash (which as of today is down to $10 per $50 spent) plus 15% back in points which convert to even more Kohl's Cash. With a Kohl's charge card, if you spend $200 today through Thursday (and make sure your pre-tax total is over $200, not $199), you'd get $40 Kohl's Cash + triple rewards which would amount to another $30 Kohl's Cash at the end of the month for a total of $70 in Kohl's Cash.
colemandawn4905
I love Kohl’s lol. I’d be afraid to get a credit card there because I’m addicted to their clothes, throws, towels etc. lol
jesusluvu
My middle daughter will start her first job at Kohls this week. I told her I was not sure if this is how you want to get your feet wet in the job market, because of all the covid issues and BF shopping I am not to sure. Kanyon71
I avoid Kohl’s as much as humanly possible. Every time we drive by they are stupid packed. People aren’t always courteous which makes me angry so best to avoid. [emoji23]

Brad
Another recent change at Kohl’s: it appears now that to use their free shipping codes (typically available during 30% coupon sales) you must be a MVC cardholder. Us regular cardholders can’t use the FS codes anymore. Of course you can always get free shipping by using the Kohl’s app inside a Kohl’s store (or if you can get your phone to make the Kohl’s app think you are inside a Kohl’s store ).
Brad
More Kohl's updates. Did some snooping around their site and found this: https://www.kohls.com/ecom/Kcash/EarnKohlsCash_20201106_20201106.html It's a one-day-only $15 Kohl's Cash offer. Usually they do this the day they reveal their BF ad (and put many of their BF ad items online for early ordering). So there's a good chance the Kohl's BF ad will be released Friday the 6th. Also found possibly the next 30% of Kohl's Charge event: https://www.kohls.com/ecom/Kcharge/30-15ChargeCardPromo3.html Which starts on the 11th, Veteran's Day, which usually also comes with a $10 off $25 coupon which combine for some great deals.

len_mullen
That will significantly curtail my Kohl’s shopping. I never buy anything online there without free shipping. Lately, I see a $5 KC offer for pickup at just about every checkout. Since I drive past a Kohls on my commute, I pocket the $5. I am growing weary of unreliable, heavy handed delivery anyway. tinkrbel
I've never worried much about KC but do have the credit card and love the free shipping. Recently ordered for a friend out of state as item wasn't in stock near her. Honestly when I order stuff it's usually with the expectation some of it will go back so the KC doesn't factor into it other than a bonus after the fact. I love to use it on cute clearanced jewelry for gifts throughout the year. I'm notorious for forgetting birthdays until it's practically too late and it's easier to go into my stash of little Lauren Conrad pieces than hope Amazon delivers on time.

So many cute pieces. So many always on clearance and I grab them up. One year I filled our teen granddaughters jewelry book we had bought them with the jewelry. When they opened the new jewelry boxes and seen the jewelry they were so excited. I loved that it was a great gift and didn’t cost me near as much as everyone thought.
Brad
Got the Kohl's Veterans Day sale flyer in the mail today which confirmed that the $10 off $25 coupon will be back for 11/11 only (Code SERVICE). Combine that coupon with 30% code if you are a Charge cardholder (and MVC member for the FS code) and you can get $25 worth of stuff for around $10 shipped or picked up. Best strategy is always to place multiple orders each as close to $25 (before coupon codes) as possible. Great for clothing, small home items, etc... Each year I tend to place around a dozen orders.
