len_mullen
It's hard to turn on a television without some expert pushing the ULTIMATE kitchen appliance. I'm pretty vulnerable to this and have made an impulse purchase or two. Last year I bought an Air Fryer. I liked it a lot and it is my favorite kitchen appliance. Yesterday, I bought a new Air Fryer -- the NuWave Primo Convection Oven with Grill Plate & Temperature Probe. Read that again -- Convection Oven with Grill Plate & Temperature Probe. This new toy will not replace my Air Fryer 100% -- I'd like to be able to air fry home fries while air cooking an omelette or cook a steak while air frying vegetables. It will, however, be the First Air Fryer in my house. Here are the features that attracted me...Clear Body: I really do not like opaque pots. My IP and Air Fryer require me to stop cooking to see what is going on. I can watch what is going on inside the NuWave Primo and I like that. Temperature Probe: Whether I am cooking chicken or a rib eye, I need to know the temperature of the meat. Dual Heating Elements: Not going to lie, this is IMPORTANT to me. Not having to 'flip' food means not having to pay as much attention. I like the fact that this thing can burn a steak like a traditional grill. Programability: I love the idea that I can set this device to cook for an hour then dehydrate for three. Flexibility: Add rings to this cooker to add capacity. What is your favorite kitchen appliance? Like a specific brand or model, please share! Feel free to post a link to a Black Friday deal too.
jesusluvu
I had to think on this one, but my instapot can replace almost everything in my kitchen besides the refrigerator. Had to go with that one Edited November 19, 2019 by jesusluvu
starbeck96
As of right now, my stove/oven is my favorite thing. I do have an air fryer, but rarely use it. I think it is just because I don't have a good storage place for it so I hate pulling it in and out (no room to leave out on counters). I also love my crockpot and use it at least once a week.this will probably change after Thanksgiving because I am buying myself an Instant Pot and an Instant Pot blender. My husband also told me to go ahead and buy myself a roaster today (I didn't see any on sale BF) since I am having to do most of the Thanksgiving cooking this year. So, we will see what my favorite is after I get all of these new appliances. I should add that I do love my chest freezer too. It allows me to stock up when things go on sale. I am also going to talk with my husband about putting in storage shelves where our old air/heating unit is (we no longer use the central heat/air). That would give me a place to put all of my appliances.
Bopeep
I went with the air fryer, because that's what gets used the most. But, yeah, if I had to get it out and put it up, it would probably NEVER get used. I have a tiny kitchen, but luckily I do have a counter corner that's perfect to leave the AF out all the time.
speeddiva
My vote would be the air fryer. I use it multiple times a week. It has mostly replaced the microwave in our house. Edited November 19, 2019 by speeddiva
Kash
Ok, I voted instant pot. My husband works late a lot and I have about an hours notice before he is on his way. Thus, it saves me sometimes. But, I must say if coffee pot had been an option that may have got my vote.....yes, I almost voted "other". lol
wittenlover
I voted range because I've been doing a lot more cooking at home lately and, seeing as it's just me, it's easier for me to throw something on the stove/in the oven when I get home. I'm not a fan of eating leftovers of most things, so this allows me to make the small amount I want more easily.
