J.T Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 Hi, I was able to purchase one, however our store only had nine available. I was number eight Best Buy was offering memory, security, and warranty upgrades. j.t
RossMAN Posted May 28, 2006 Author Posted May 28, 2006 We're going to get there before they open at 11AM.
RossMAN Posted May 28, 2006 Author Posted May 28, 2006 How much did they want for the "upgrades"?The only thing you really need to "upgrade" is the RAM. It's cheaper to install it yourself.
J.T Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 To upgrade to 512, the cost was thirty dollars. The security upgrade is half price. j.t
lazerith75 Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 I went to the Waterford Lakes Best Buy in Orlando, Fl at 1:00 P.M. and they were out of these

I would not get the 'security update' since those are available online for free. If you install memory yourself or have someone else do it, BB has 512MB for $49.99. There was a line at our BB and they sold out before the doors even opened. Like I said this morning they will sell out fast and they did :)

I got there late at 12:00 PM, and my local Best Buy store still had three left. :)

I would have preferred a Compaq with Sempron and DVD burner but you won't find that for $399 with no rebates.
