So I bit the bullet real versus fake

For the past 30 years we have always had a real tree, we have gone out in the cold looking for it and cutting it down. This year with half my children having their own families and not being here. One is in Germany with his family stationed there in the Air Force. The other is staying in Indiana with her partner. The two younger ones are in College and have busy schedules. So I learned a lot about fake trees, lights points and what not and looked at trees in the store but none were what I like. Plus I have a hard time with change. Yesterday morning I went to Lowes and bought this one still deciding if I am in love but it's growing one me and first time tree is up day after Thanksgiving and will decorate around it.

It came in three pieces branches attached, over 3000 points and it was on sale

I think it looks great and hope you come to love it. The first year of switching to an artificial tree is the hardest (it seemed noticeable fake like the shape and fullness are too perfect and I felt like I was cheating somehow, by skipping certain steps that were family traditions). You learn to really appreciate them I promise, the convenience is hard to beat. If you miss the smell of a real tree there are some great candles out there and scentsicles are decent too.

The tree looks beautiful. We have been going out and cutting our tree as well and the kids love it. I would have a hard time switching to an artificial tree. We have had real trees ever since I was little but I know the convenience of having the artificial ones would be great. No watering and you can put it up when you want without having to worry about the tree dying too early. Oh and the needles falling out everywhere
