RossMAN Posted October 18, 2004 Posted October 18, 2004 anyone have a Dell Preferred Account? thinking of signing up for one and buying a 700m.Is there any additional savings if you use a Dell Preferred Account?
Ankit Posted October 18, 2004 Posted October 18, 2004 RossMAN, you posted some time back either here or on AT about a system you got, sold two monitors and broke even. Is ANYTHING of the sort possible with this?
Brad Posted October 18, 2004 Author Posted October 18, 2004 Damn! That's quite a deal! Any idea which "selected" models this will work on, or is it any Inspiron over $1500?It's pretty much any Inspiron that you customize yourself. It's not good on some of the preconfigured bundles which usually come with longer warranties, etc... but if you customize your own, it will work.

Ankit Posted October 18, 2004 Posted October 18, 2004 I'm not able to use the coupon code I think it's because of the 10% discount, anyway to avoid this discount? It's under my EPP account as well,

z0mb13 Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 hey guys I just joined this forum from ATOT so I am thinking of picking up the 700m and selling it locally my question is, if I cant sell it, what is dell's policy on returns? so I will be SOL on the shipping cost to ship back the laptop?

Brad recently bought one and he is very happy with it so far. Dell's return policy is 21 days. I would also recommend DO NOT OPEN THE BOX, keep it sealed. If it does not sell, just call Dell within 21 days to obtain an RMA # and ship it back to them.

RossMAN Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 do I have to pay for the return shipping costs?Yes but there is a way around this to get free shipping back to Dell. As long as the package remains SEALED (NOT OPENED) just contact FedEx/UPS/DHL and request a "return to sender". It uses the same tracking number which was sent to you and it goes back to Dell's warehouse. Remember to first call Dell customer care within 21 days to first obtain an RMA # then do a "return to sender". $0 to ship back to Dell

z0mb13 Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 damn I made some mistake in ordering mine, quick what number should I call to change my order? do I have to wait until I get an order number? I just got the confirmation number
Brad Posted October 19, 2004 Author Posted October 19, 2004 when does this end?The coupon is supposed to expire at 5:59am CST tomorrow morning, but Dell could pull it at any time if they want to.
RossMAN Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 The coupon is supposed to expire at 5:59am CST tomorrow morning, but Dell could pull it at any time if they want to.During the last laptop sale they pulled the coupon EARLY. So unless you want to be a victim of "you snooze, you lose" I would suggest ordering ASAP. Remember you can always cancel your order later if you change your mind. Dell also has a 21 day return policy.
Guest waggy Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 you know i looked at the laptops and thought it over. I really want something i can play games on. the XPS while would be fine is just to expensive. All the are not that great. Granted i could buy one for the wife but she really does not need one heh. she just needs something for doing school work on. If her dell l400 was not dieing i wouldnt even bother
z0mb13 Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 what is this big bucks coupon that the fatwallet-ers are talking about??
Pr4mer Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 The 9100 model was pulled as I made changes to add the internal wireless card. Does anyone know whether another one of these >$700 off deals will come around again soon?
