len_mullen Posted November 24, 2017 Posted November 24, 2017 Unemployment is lower, wages are higher, and retailers are competitive. Love it! I bet B&M sales are up as well.
jesusluvu Posted November 24, 2017 Posted November 24, 2017 From the crowds I bet it was a better year. I like to see everyone out and sprucing up our economy.
tracy0504 Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 Whoa...that's great!!!! I know I spent more this year than last, especially online...
Kanyon71 Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 Makes me wonder how the brick and mortar did for in-store sales this year.
Brad Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 Makes me wonder how the brick and mortar did for in-store sales this year. For online shopping: According to figures from Adobe Analytics, customers spent a record-high $5 billion on Black Friday alone, compared to $3.34 billion last year. At the time of writing, a 16.5% increase in sales for Cyber Monday is expected by Adobe. However, despite the rise in online shopping, it seems that the slowdown in physical store sales hasn’t been as severe as expected. ShopperTrak said that preliminary data indicate a 1.6% decline in foot traffic to retail stores on Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday, although the decline on Black Friday alone was less than 1%. 1

There may be hope yet
