Brad Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 https://www.bizjournals.com/twincities/news/2017/11/13/target-debuts-dual-entrance-concept-store-in-texas.html Target Corp. has taken the wraps off its first newly designed store concept, a two-entrance design that the retailer plans to roll out across the country. There's 30+ photos to look at.
bribri25 Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 Looks like a cross between Ikea, Macy's, Barnes & Noble, and Target.
Bopeep Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 Some of it just looks like Target, while other parts look very Mall anchor store-y. 1
Kanyon71 Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 Some of it looks normal every day Target and other parts are very high end looking. Will be interesting to see one in person.
gatorburg Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 Dont see that happening at the targets around me. They cant even get the sale items out in time for the start of the ad. 1
dakotadenise Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 I like aisles. Then I can go up and down and not miss anything. I don't like the "throw everything in the middle" look. And carpet??? 3
TazErase Posted November 15, 2017 Posted November 15, 2017 To do all that they will have to lose a lot of their other items. Fact is the Target nearby is in a mall and you have to drive past a ShopRite to get there. If someone is looking for food they are going to go there for the larger selection, but now if someone wants other Target basic items, they will have to go to Walmart.
freesia39 Posted November 15, 2017 Posted November 15, 2017 The newer Targets around me have already started phasing in parts of these concepts. It looks like a mashup of several different stores - part dept store, part book store, part toy store, all in one place. Which really, was why we went to Target already, but in an efficient package. I think it depends on where you're located if the concept will take off.
