vchristianman Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 I was just on the walmart reddit page and some one posted that their layaway would be starting September 2nd for customers. Here is the link:https://www.reddit.com/r/walmart/comments/4wsqbf/layaway_august_31stdepartment_manager/ 1

angelbabymommy Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Nope. Besides the information here, I haven't heard/seen anything. Most likely very similar to last year, but I was hoping to see something by now being as tho Sept 2 is next week.

Spotted1 Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 My store actually has year round layaway as part of a pilot program. 1
bethed Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Wow that is great ... Maybe the pilot program will work out well and it will return to all stores. Self Checkouts were taken out of our local Wal-Mart but are being reinstalled now. So maybe there is hope
berry1014 Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 I wish they would bring back layaway year round and get rid of limits of what can be put on layaway. I love love to open a layaway however most of what I am looking to buy cannot be placed on layaway based on their rules. My kids are getting older so we are not buying a lot of toys
starbeck96 Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 My store actually has year round layaway as part of a pilot program. Hopefully it will do well. I miss layaway. I would buy clothes, Birthday, Christmas, and things that I wanted but was afraid would be sold out by the time I saved the money.
