bribri25 Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 I feel like that's pretty standard fair for Michaels. I wonder if they use 80% of the ad from the previous year, and just move things around a bit. Nonetheless, still some good things to buy if you're in the market for them.
Brad Posted November 2, 2015 Author Posted November 2, 2015 I wonder if they use 80% of the ad from the previous year, and just move things around a bit. Seems like most stores do that. Take a look at the older ads on http://www.blackfridayarchive.com and you'll see a lot of repeating patterns with many stores. 2
bribri25 Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 I feel like Michael's even more so than others, though.
Doresia Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 I think its good that stores like Michael's does basically the same ad every year. There are some "recurring" gifts (art supplies, craft supplies) and decorations (ribbon and such) that you may need every year. 1
dorsettmama Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 I'm interested in getting one of those Christmas trees 1
premiumchip Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 I'll be stopping here for the 50% Christmas ribbon.
rockpzazz Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Not a bad ad, nice price on the Star Wars shirts. I might have to buy a couple for my nephews. I was hoping to find a couple 16x20 picture frames, so I hope a couple of those frame deals will include some. I've never done Michaels before but might check out online to see if I can get something. 1
Black Friday200 Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 My Mom needs a new Christmas tree and has been waiting all year for the Michaels ad. 1

In my experience, people start showing up ~30 minutes before and tend to wait in their cars as long as possible until the first person lines up and then everyone floods out of their cars.
Ladywolf Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Okay, so question for me is...do I stand in line on Friday morning at 7 am for a $5 Michael's gift card or stick to Half Price Books for their $5 gift card?? I love both places!
aaronwstewart Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Will definitely be stopping at Michael's, as I do every year!
nhughes Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Besides the free gift card, nothing really special here, but what do you want for a craft store LOL.
rianistar Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 It says the gift card is to the first 21 and to shop early Friday. Will they be given out 7:00am Friday, or earlier friday as part of their Thursday 4pm to 2am thing?

myboysnme Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 I could definately find some things to buy at Michaels when they take 30% off even the sale prices. I doubt I can venture out Thurs because I need to catch the Dell deals at 6pm.
Elmck Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 I like the candles, art kits for $1.99 and a few other things.
