hockeyfanamo Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 What stocking stuffers do you stock up on BF? I'm a huge fan of grabbing the odd little things that are on sale on BF for stockings and also any unique edibles seem to find their way into my basket. Of course dvds have a place of honor as well. 2
berry1014 Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Ear buds, ear buds and more ear buds. My kids go through a several pairs of ear buds each year. Also DVD's, CDs, slipper socks and holiday socks. 5
jesusluvu Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Gift Cards, jewelry, candy, fruit and small toy things 1
ytmomof4 Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Random things such as small toys,Chapstick, candy, tickets, gift cards, bath and body works, and honestly whatever I decide to put in them there always different except for the candy 2
momlori Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Dollar spot at Target is always good for some stuffers 3
jewleyp Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Not a big fan of the underwear/socks stocking stuffer..... Stockings in my home are for the best little some things that you just happened to pick up that aren't necessary but have to have! And they are probably miserable to wrap! lol 3

love2behappy Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Candy, gift cards to starbucks, itunes, and mcdonalds, and whatever else my husband and I come up with. We do put socks in our children's stockings but they are cute or funny socks like last year my teenage daughter got wonder woman socks with a cape on the back, my teenage son received the super man one's, can't remember what the youngest 2 received but I'm sure it'll come to me. . .they have to be cool socks not just regular everyday socks 2
mgmckny Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 My kids like the stockings better than big stuff, of course they are teens/young adults now but they've always wanted a stocking, preferably with cash inside... 1
Peppermint Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Practical items...deodorant, Chapstick, razors. Then of course some gum/candy and scratch tickets. 2
Elmck Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Most of my kids are adults too but still want stockings. I try to mix it up some things are useful, some are fun, and sometimes I can sneak in a special surprise. Lately though there are so many stockings I have a hard time getting them done!! 1
kayray Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 RiteAid usually has little tins of Nivea hand cream 2 or3/$1.00. My daughters and SIL's all love them! 1
Kim3498 Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Usually a pair of video game boxers with matching lounge pants and socks, a DVD, a video game, money soap from hallmark, specialty candy, deodorant gift sets, gift cards, and a t-shirt in their favorite nfl team/ or other interest. Seems the stockings are the favorite thing at our house. I bought too much for a regular stocking one year so got huge ones to stuff. Bad mistake! It's a challenge to fill them every year now...... 1
Bopeep Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 I usually do mostly candy in the stockings. When my boys were little, the stockings were filled with candy (Nerds, Gobstoppers, that kind of stuff - the oldest didn't like chocolate), and there was a small stuffed animal on top. As they got older it was just the candy. Now, I don't do as much candy, because I was finding that I could fill Easter eggs with the leftovers. They get one box of their favorite candy, and usually a gift card. The grands get candy candy candy, and whatever else Grama wants to stuff in there that their little hearts may desire . So, to answer the original question, I don't buy any of the stocking stuffers on BF. In fact, it's usually the last thing I buy. 1
mcwalker Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 The pharmacies (especially Walgreens) usually have some "Free after Rebate" or "Free after Voucher" type deals on small items. These usually start Thanksgiving morning, so you can pick them up before Thanksgiving festivities, or at other off-times through Friday. 2
bluebear Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 (edited) Yes! Love the freebies from Walgreens. Ear buds, ponytail holders, hairbrushes, free or cheap razors, free or cheap lip balm... Other than those, can't think of anything else in particular. Just candies and other stuff.Believe I've gotten gloves and hats before on BF, makeup...Oh, and Walgreens has had a gift card offer when buying iTunes. We are not an iTunes family, but I can give them as gifts, then use the gift card for more stuff! Edited October 7, 2015 by bluebear 1
mamat2011 Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Candy, chap stick, crayons, nail polish, hair brush, things I can get cheap or free using coupons 1
theggs4ever Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Are the pharmacy free after rebate items on Black Friday or that weekend?
vkozlowski0419 Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 (edited) Walgreens and cvs are on Black Friday or thanksgiving itself. I seem to remember that I went to Walgreens on thanksgiving morning for the freebies and other stuff Edited October 9, 2015 by vkozlowski0419 1
bluebear Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Yes, CVS, Walgreens, rite aid, all open thanksgiving day. If they are 24 hours, then the sale starts at midnight. I usually stay up late in Wednesday night and hit Walgreens at midnight. 3
Ladywolf Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Another vote for the CVS and Walgreens deals/freebies! I also try to get the $5 gift card from Half-Price books to use as a stocking stuffer. 1
Iliveforblckfri Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Thumb/flash drives and wireless computer mice are great stocking stuffers for the adults on our lists. 3
msomnipotent Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 (edited) I shop at Ulta for a lot of stuffers. My family is mostly female and Ulta can have some pretty decent giveaways. I also use my points from filling my prescriptions at Walgreens for things. Candy winds up rotting at our house, so a typical stocking will have a silver dollar, some nail polish, perfume or bath gel, Eos, small smelly candles, and a DVD or video game. nhughes Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 If I can't find anything good in the general retail stores, then Dollar Tree is the best place to buy. 1
premiumchip Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Ear buds, make-up, favorite candy bars, itunes gift cards or google play gift cards, perfume/cologne, jewelry, and sometimes small books and DVDs. 1
momlori Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 I usually also do the hunt on after Christmas sales for things like fun little toys or goofy gifts that you can use to stuff stockings with at half price 1
delphernina Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 This year I'm definitely looking for earbuds, fun socks, iTunes gift cards, and flavored coffee. 1
