Barclay2 Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 I was curious if I purchased an item prior to BF and the item goes on sale, will Target reimburse me for the difference? Has anyone ever had this experience? TIA
HappyHolidays Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 My experience has been no, they will not adjust for black Friday prices.
momlori Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Most price matching specifically excludes Black Friday
pattycal1 Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 what about walmart? If you buy something on the 22- and its on BF list - will they give you the difference back?
Barclay2 Posted November 14, 2014 Author Posted November 14, 2014 Thanks for the info! I thought at one time they did. oh well.....
wittenlover Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 I seem to recall Target indeed used to do this, but they stopped a few years ago, if I recall correctly. Not sure about WM, as I rarely shop there but, as momlori said, most price matching policies specifically exclude BF price matching for previously bought merchandise. 1
cab0ad Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 I bought some light sets a few weeks ago that turned up in the target ad 40% off on Black Friday. I plan on repurchasing them, and then instantly returning them with the receipt from my original higher priced purchase. 1
stacya Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Yes, Target used to do it, but they've stopped in the past three or four years or so, and even before then, it was becoming more and more difficult to get them to do it, even though people were bringing copies of emails received from corporate that said that the store would honor the adjusted price. I almost got burned one year, played the corporate card, got the adjustment, but the manager was PISSED...never attempted it again, because it was too close for comfort... 1
Kash Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 I know when you make a layaway at Kmart you have 7 days to bring your receipt back in and have it price adjusted. I don't see why that wouldn't include Black Friday.
dembrooks Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 I had a TV adjusted at Target a few years ago. It was a 32 inch flat screen... I think I bought it for 300+ and got the difference back on black Friday.
mcwalker Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Don't know about other stores, but I did this at Sears a few years ago. Bought the only one of a Blueray player in the small town store on Wednesday, talked to the manager, and came back with the receipt later during the Doorbuster hours on Friday to get the price adjustment. It allowed me to get the only one of that item in the store and to hit other stores first, then come back to Sears later (but during the Doorbuster hours) to get the refund.
